Great tamper, fits my basket perfectly

This tamper, despite being a rebrand of a Normcore, is very good quality. It's all metal construction and the action is good. I'm fact it's a bit over built in the tamp section. Because it's so thick, the leveling gasket can't quite make contact with the portafilter with the recipe I use now. If I had less grounds it would work, but if you use more than 18g this tamper won't quite do as advertised. Other than that, it's fantastic

Nice weight and comfortable in the hands. Very nice build quality. The spring action works very well enabling you to evenly tamp your grinds. I’ve used this with my 58 mm portofilter that came with my Flair 58LE machine.

This tamper is hefty & I really like the spring action so it doesn't take as much force to pack the grounds down. The 2nd pic is it compared to the one that came with my machine.

This tamper is pretty much just like the ones I used as a barista about four million years ago in the 1990s, which makes me happy. It's got a nice weight to it, but it's not terribly heavy.I like that it's got a plastic handle. Wood looks nice, but tends to accumulate all kind of germs, and can't really be effectively sterilized. In a home kitchen where other cooking is happening, that's a big plus for me.

I got this so that I can make my brother make me more espressos at home. He has a machine, but the plastic tamp that it came with broke, so he hasn't been making me as much coffee. I got this to replace it and it's very nice. It's weighted and has a spring to let you know when you can stop tamping. The handle gives a better grip to press down on. I'm not sure if it's because I haven't been able to drink espresso at home in awhile or not... but coffee's pulling and tasting better now since this has been used.

I've been wanting a spring tamper for awhile now. I always feel like I'm under tamping or over tamping my espresso. Now I know 30lbs every time. I'm not a espresso critic so I probably wouldn't know the difference in taste, but I don't have to strain my wrist guessing the correct pressure I'm putting on the portafilter
