This makes making bread so easy! It is easy to use and clean. It takes up less space on the counter than my air fryer. The instructions book explains all the settings. It’s really easy to use! I have made several different kinds of bread and they have all turned out. The machine is consistent with cooking the bread. It’s definitely worth the money.

I had a bread machine several years ago and found it in the closet last year and decided to give it to a neighbor who loves to can and bake because I felt it wasn’t anything I would use again. Started seeing everybody using bread machines and decided to buy this one and try again. I love it! I mainly use the dough cycle and bake whatever in my oven but if you like a harder crust on your baked bread there is nothing wrong with baking it in this bread machine. I don’t find it noisy at all. My mixer makes more noise than this! It is easy to clean and I have found making bread fun again! Experimenting with various recipes I have found a great one to use all around for bread, dinner rolls, hamburger/hot dog buns, hoagie rolls and cinnamon rolls! You won’t be disappointed in purchasing this machine because it has so much you can do with it and is very easy to use!

This machine is smaller and more light-weight than the one we had previously, which is nice. The pan is not as deep as we’ve had before, but I mostly use my bread machine to mix up dough to cook in the oven, and it did a great job incorporating all the ingredients and not leaving any crusty stuff stuck to the sides. With past bread machines we’ve had there was a booklet included with a variety of recipes to try, but this only came with an instruction booklet that had two recipes included. Glad I’ve held onto past bread machine recipe books.

This is our 2nd Hamilton Beach bread maker after 5 years of twice weekly use, turning out fragrant white bread and cinnamon raisin breads. Bread quality is excellent. Pros: a trusted brand that performed beautifully and reliably until somehow it quit working properly and we were left with bricks of heavy cooked dough. (Yeast was proofed and is good and in date. As cooking is chemistry, ingredients always measured and leveled. Bread machine just quit working) The new model offers 3 sizes of bread, standard bread pan. We make the 2lb size, slice lengthwise and freeze half for later use. Heat level is perfect for all sizes and types of breads, reliably cycling as it should, consistently providing bread with a great texture and crust. Very good value for price. If you have basic ingredients, plus yeast, you always have bread. Cons: There is only an instruction booklet with one basic white bread recipe in the box. Thus, 4* review! The Hamilton Beach website is listed as a source of recipes but I found it to be inadequate. I am very relieved to have my book from previous machine as it includes recipes from breads to dough, to cakes and even jam. Not sure about usefulness of cycles without recipes. I use my own measuring cups so the included cup is no biggie.

TLDR: The #3 menu setting for gluten free is programmed incorrectly. You need to use a spatula to help mix the ingredients and then it kneads (3) times, resulting in an inedible, solid brick. Gluten free eating is frustrating and expensive enough, get a machine that has positive *gluten free* ratings or is fully programmable. This one isn’t it. -- Hamilton Beach is my go-to brand or now, was. I purchased this machine and made multiple loaves; none were acceptable. I tried different recipes, different ingredients and spent quite a bit of money. Frustrated, I turned to YouTube, which I rarely visit. I found “GFJules” who reviewed this exact machine. She offered a tip to run your machine without ingredients to ensure you know what the cycles do. After this one started the second knead she boxed it up and returned it. She did offer a suggestion though, to try “Basic” or “Quick” settings looking for (1) mix, (1) rise and (1) bake. Since I had tried using it longer, my return window had closed. I contacted Hamilton Beach asking if this machine was defective, and if they would provide an expanded matrix of the settings. (My previous machine manual fully explained each setting, with X minutes for 1st knead, X minutes for rest, X minutes for 2nd knead, X minutes to rise, X minutes to bake, etc.) I want THAT information and consider it mandatory for any bread machine manual. Here is the exact response I received from Shelinda at Hamilton Beach “Customer Care”: Unfortunately, the break down times of each cycle for the settings is not provided. We do apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you again for contacting Hamilton Beach Brands, Inc. So, Hamilton Beach is aware the machine is programmed incorrectly and isn’t interested in a correction or even providing a potential work-around. Don’t waste your money with this unit. To be clear, I did NOT use any of the other settings. I would imagine this is an adequate unit for regular loaves, and the ability to put the pan in the dishwasher is spectacular. My review is related to Gluten Free ONLY.

It's a bit of a stretch to say this model can bake a 2lb loaf. If you do, the bread will rise and push against the lid, and the top won't cook very well. However, it really does a great job making bread if you stay under 1 1/2 lbs. If you need a machine that can bake large loafs, this isn't the machine for you. If you're looking for a machine that consistently performs well, and you don't want to spend $300-400, then look no further. I'm very happy with my purchase.

BETTER HALF MAKES FANTASTIC BREAD WITH THESE THINGS!!! They are NOT for use a few times a week though..lol..this is not our first one. They sure don't last that long..BUT still receive a 5 star rating
