Good, just not good for Home Assistant
Got this to try to connect to Home Assistant, and months later still haven't been able to make that happen. I thought it was Zigbee but it's not (my mistake!) it's actually Bluetooth or something. It has no pairing mode, it needs to be found by a secondary hub device that requires their cloud account. It would be the first device like this I need that hub and account for, so I don't really want that. All of that is my fault though for using it outside of its intended ecosystem. The switches are great, and if I had it working it'd be the only single switch device with enough functions for my office/workbench room. Just know it's not Home Assistant friendly unless you are set up with the actual eWeLink Bluetooth hub device and account. There are a number of threads with others trying the same. Setup absolutely requires that device and that account, then according to them Home Assistant can see it via the hub. I've not had any luck using a Bluetooth proxy. Otherwise the design is pretty good. It's easy to access the batteries. It has a magnetic wall plate that's easy to detach from and carry it like a remote. That plate is also easy to mount with Command strips if you're unsure of location or renting, and it gives you 18 functions which is fantastic.
