Milk Kefir Grains, Turkish Strain, Bulgaros, Pajaritos, Live Probiotic Starter.

I first ordered this product in August however the grains must have been a bad batch. Although they produced great kefir after initially reviving them, they soon dwindled and one day when I strained them, they had completely disappeared. (I personally think they sat in the hot mail box too long.)I contacted the company and they did send me a new batch right away. I again followed the directions that came with them and after dumping the first 3 batches, my grains are producing wonderful kefir. In fact in a short amount of time, they have grown from 8g to 30g, so I am able to share them with friends.My method: I pour 1 cup of milk in the grains in a glass jar with an oversized plastic lid (so as not to be air-tight) and set in the pantry. After about 24 hrs (normally the next morning), I add another cup of milk to the same jar and stir well, then let sit until the following morning. Then I strain the kefir into a clean jar and put in the fridge to chill and drink. I repeat the process by putting fresh milk on the grains. Every day I have a fresh cup of kefir to drink and share with my family. Excellent taste and health benefits.Thank you to the company for being accomodating - these grains are wonderful!!!I do not use metal utensils and I never rinse the grains!! I also use the same jar for a few round before switching out to clean. Hope this helps.

This is the worst milk kefir. Milk kefir should look like the picture. What I got wasn't anything near that. I followed the instructions included that showed how to get your kefir to come alive again. It didn't work. Included in the product was a number to text and an email address to contact them if you weren't happy with the product, no one ever responded to me. I have made milk kefir before, so I do know how the process works. This product is severely messed up!

This is the first time I've attempted to make my own Kefir! I received the Milk Kefir Turkish strain grains, a live probiotic starter, today, and I was happy with the nice way the grains were packaged. When I opened the small container with the grains, the aroma was delicious! I found the instructions very easy to follow, and hopefully I will be successful in this endeavour! I plan to do a follow-up review when I have delicious Kefir to drink and a good established culture.I'm updating this review to let you know that the grains arrived alive and already producing delicious Kefir! I'm sure that I'll have a good established culture for lots of home-made Kefir! Can't recommend highly enough!

Unfortunately the kefir grains was pink and smells bad when I open the seal bag and the small container inside was wet so the grains was contaminated

Don't be disappointed that the grains-clumps are tinier and smaller than what you might see in the (macro, of course) product picture (at least for this initial stage), the Kefir is creamy and tastes great. (you can, obviously, adjust the time, for more or less acidity/sour flavor). You'll be pleased! I'll see it on the long run, but I'm happy at this point. Thank you!

The grains are extremely small and disappeared by my third milk change!

Great stuff indeed, I am tryjng to make tvorog regularly. It helps to hide it from cats - I bought it for the second time, grew it bigger last time, left it in a cup on the kitchen counter for a second, came back and saw a happy cat finishing it lol Will make a new batch of farmers cheese again for my varenyky

I don't give it five stars because the amount and size of grains was very small and it took some time to grow them, but the end result was very good.
