Must read : Porsche Cayenne Turbo with hints
Installed this onto my 2008 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Install was strait forward. All hardware included. Instructions were garbage. Use online sources to remove bumper ... Pelican Parts has instructions on bumper. Make sure you trim any part of the bumper that touches the hitch. You will have to trim above and below where the receiver protrudes. Ignoring proper trim will result in a cracked bumper.I wanted a factory light/tow module install with hitch. The dealer wanted $1600 just for the hitch and wire harness .... not including the tow module. Along with the Curt hitch I installed the factory harness and tow module myself for around $900. Interesting fact about the tow module ... there is a separate set of turn signal indicators on the dash dedicated for the trailer lights. The module detects when the trailer is connected and sets shift points and lighting for tow and returns to normal when trailer is disconnected. Also the alarm system , when armed , will alert if the trailer is disconnected from the tow socket. The hitch was easy to install compared to the wiring. It took many hours of research to figure out how to install it. Everything is plug and play once you get it sorted. There wasn't a clear and strait forward advise from anywhere on the internet on exactly what to buy and how to install it. Most info is out of date and any recommendation on the module will give you an obsolete and discontinued part number. I ended up rolling the dice on the module as the part number i used was from a newer 2012 Cayenne that was updated to work with LED lights. In the end everything worked flawlessly. The module was even recognized by the computer without dealer programming or any programming. I have a Durametric diagnostics tool that I was able to verify that it not only was recognizing but functioning properly and won't throw codes. My risk is your reward. I will share with you the parts I used to make the wiring of a factory install work. I purchased these from the dealer.955-612-506-00 Light harness955-618-040-12 Control Unit TrailerPNA-955-118-93-B Factory 7 way lighting adapterI ain't gonna lie .... the install of the wiring was a pain but with patience and some research ... doable. All of the electrical plug connections are around the CD changer on the passenger rear. 2 plugs car side ... The green plug is hidden below and to the right of the CD changer (about 1' away)and the Red plug is just hanging behind the panel to the left of the CD changer.Only these 2 plugs attached to the vehicle side and 2 on the harness are needed to make it work with the module. Harness will have 2 plugs ... a green and a black. The black goes to the module and the green goes to the lower right of the CD changer behind a couple of other modules. The red plug from the vehicle plugs into the module. You cant mess up the plugs as they are slotted to only fit one way. So in the end 3 connections ... 2 plugs into the module (Red plug and Black plug), then 1 connection (green to green) from harness to harness. Good luck and enjoy !!!

Exceeded our expectations.
This is an awesome deal. We have a 2007 Audi Q7 and it fit perfectly. There is no way the factory option is better quality and it's not really that hard to put on yourself if you have a decent set of tools. Takes about 2 hours. It's like having a Ranch Hand bumper hidden inside the nice plastic bumper cover. I can't believe you can get that much steel for $150.Very high quality product. We have been using Amazon for just about everything for the past five years and I really feel like this is the best deal I have gotten. $1,200 at the dealership for an inferior product or $150 and two hours of labor for this. Easy choice. Man, after reading this review you would think I work for the manufacturer but I don't. This product is one of the reasons I love America so much. I love having my expectations exceeded and it rarely happens. Thank you Amazon/the manufacturer for this product.

Thank god i didn't try to install it myself
My local body shops quoted me about 2 hours at $80 an hour. It was worth every dollar...We have a 2004 VW Touareg. The instructions sounded easy enough, heck there's even a video online for how to install on this exact model.1. The shop broke my tail light trying to remove it from the body. They said the right side came out with no problems, but the left, that sucker was in there good, too good. No problem, they replaced it at no charge to me.2. The bumper required some trimming above the hitch opening. Basically the bumper was resting on the hitch which prevented it from sitting just right. There was enough wiggle room to secure the bumper on, but the seams were no longer lining up perfectly. I can't image this is unique to our car, but i didn't see any comments about that on any other review. So from my point of view, it was worth the $160.Material-wise, the hitch looks and feels pretty darn solid.

Terrible fitment.
Terrible fitment. I have a 2012 Audi Q7 S-line and it sticks out 3 inches too far and is so tight to the bumper it bends it. I tried adjusting the hitch within the holes but there is only so much to adjust. The pictures show the fitment problems well. Makes me regret not buying OEM. Install was easy enough. Removing the rear bumper is pretty much all there is to it.

Well made, mostly
This is made in the USA, which is nice. It was easy to install, fit and drilled very exactly. It's heavy and the welds are great. Instructions weren't great, but another hitch site had a great video. The packaging Amazon sent this thing in was shameful, it was like a shipping tag taped to the item, no box or anything. It didn't get too dinged up, but I have to believe that's just dumb luck, as if it had fallen over (UPS left it sitting upright against my garage), it'd definitely have been damaged.Downside, there is already some rust forming on it after only a couple of months. It's small, but none the less... expect better there.

Straight Forward & Built Like A Tank
Fits perfectly on my 2014 Audi Q7! Bought this for a bike rack and it does the job. It sticks out slightly but it does the job. The cost and pro's outweigh the OEM/factory option.PROS:- Cost- Quality- Includes hardened boltsCONS:- Lacks factory features (screw-on tow hook, trailer hook up wires)- Need to DIY cut the hitch cover - factory guides don't match this configuration

Very sturdy hitch receiver
Very sturdy hitch receiver. The installation videos and instructions for this hitch are misleading. Had it installed on a 2008 VW Touareg today and the bumper cover needs to be trimmed. It does not fit.

Perfect fit and finish!
Perfect fit and Curt product quality is there as usual. I had to purchase a 18MM deep 1/2” drive socket to take out the old bolts (which were in VERY tight) as it seems all my sets went from 17 to 19 MM skipping what must be the “unloved” 18 MM (LOL). Otherwise it was easy and very few tools needed. That said you should have at least entry level mechanics ability.
