Barnett CROSSBOWS Hypertac 420 Crossbow

This crossbow has been great ! I got the pro 430 . And the integrated cocking device is a huge upgrade over the one on the 420. They are accurate and well built . Triggertech is nice and I love the fold down ar grip and adjustable stock . This crossbow is fast very fast.

The bow is alright, but targeting with the Barnett hyper bag is a joke. Prepare to lose fletchings when arrows penetrate and poke through. The cheap aluminum nocks get bent after a few firings and will scratch the rail, not seat properly on the string, and cause the arrows to fly off target. If you don't replace the nocks soon enough, they can get buried in the arrows and will break off when you try to pull them out to replace them. The bow does it's job, but the Barnett ecosystem surround this bow is a joke and their customer service department has been very unresponsive to this point.

It took maybe 5 shots to zero in scope. 🤙 wasn’t able to take a deer with it this past season but have shot it multiple times and shoots great and still holding zero. Only issue I have is finding arrows. You have to use the same exact ones that come with it or that have the same style of knock and from what I have found it’s a Barnett specific item.

As accurate as a rifle

Shoots nice, but there’s more to a bow than FPS. Auto cocking device accessory and most two hook design cocking ropes turn off the safety when removing them if you’re not extremely careful removing them. Is designed to ONLY allow one arrow diameter that is ONLY sold by Barnett and cost like $20 EACH. Other little things like front sling post is set too long to attach the Barnett sling. Cocking device falls off if stock isn’t fully collapsed. There no place to attach the quiver that doesn’t interfere with hand positions for firing. Seems awesome out of the box, looks cool, but after using it for a couple weeks, it’s getting returned. Also Barnett won’t address concerns via email. Will only take calls about safety turning off and blocks negative reviews of the bow on their website. They don’t want anything in writing I assume.

I had no problem with Barnett, I sent it back the day after I received it without opening the box. It’s been 15 days and I still haven’t been refunded from Amazon.

Great bow easy assembly and fairly accurate out of the box but the bad is that the crossbow cocking rope broke after the third pull
