P**Y
Packaging was unexpected.
First of all, the perlite itself is fine. Hard to say if it's exactly 5l, but it didn't look any more or less than I was expecting. What did leave a bit to be desired, however, was the packaging. The perlite is inside a lightweight black bin bag which wasn't actually sealed, just twisted and bundled up. This was then wrapped in black shrink-wrap. The only reason I didn't cut the package open is that I find unwrapping shrink-wrap to be oddly satisfying... but if I'd been in a hurry, or not fussed about shrink-wrap games, I'd have used a blade and ended up with perlite all over my floor which, given the fact that breathing in perlite dust is potentially very dangerous, wouldn't exactly have been ideal. I will admit to not having scoured the listing for information about packaging, but when the image they use to advertise it shows a branded bag matching the brand written in the title, I don't think it was too unreasonable to expect that it might arrive in something similar. Other listings that sell portions on black bags do actually show that in their item listing image. If this is the way that works best for the seller in terms of packaging, they need to at the very least put a clearly visible sticker on the outside of the parcel warning against cutting open.

Awful Poorly Described Packaging
When I expected the black bag, I was thinking it would arrive in a similar one to that in the picture, just black. Or like a woven rice bag style. However it has arrived in a black plastic bin bag with a couple of splits in it resulting on perlite all over my floor. Due to this I am also unable to verify that I received the correct volume of perlite that I ordered without my own weighing scales. As for the perlite itself, it does the job.
