My dogs like to go flying up and down the basement stairs and fall sometimes. I have MS and need to be careful as well! These are nice looking and good quality. The adhesive is really annoying to attach! The carpet stays put pretty good without adhesion but I know I will trip on a carpet edge if I don't use the sticky adhesive. I'm really happy with this purchase! And so are the dogs

They’re exactly what I needed! Be advised the adhesive pieces it comes with is not great. I made it work, by peeling it, glue-ing the adhesive to the floor first and then pressing the mat down on it. I don’t think it’ll last though. Other than that, they’re perfect. The back is rubber.

Perfect choice for stairs. Color light brown blends well with the stairs. Non slip. Highly recommend.

We wanted to try these out as we have brand new hardwood stairs and we’re worried we might take a spill since they’re pretty slippery. We don’t want to harm the finish so don’t want anything adhesive. These looked nice enough, though no where near as attractive as the stairs themselves. But as other reviewers have noted,, they do tend to slip around and push back against the back or the stair. Ideally you want them closer to the edge for the best chance to prevent a fall. Also being a light color they were beginning to show dirt; however, I did notice just brushing them off with my hand did help a bit with that so hopefully they’d vacuum up easy. Never had a chance to throw them in the wash. Did not notice a distinct rubber smell as some others have mentioned, which was a relief. Anyways, we ended up returning as it was driving me a bit crazy how much they moved around. We might just try and learn to walk more carefully up and down the stairs instead of using a tread.

I really like these. The picture shows smaller stairs. My stairs are standard size and it doesn't stretch all the way across but that's really not what I wanted. Anyway. They work really great on my wooden stairs to protect them and they stay put. They also look very nice. Much better than carpet.

Attractive, easy to install

I purchased the step covers for multiple reasons. One was for my four-legged friends and the other was so that my partially disabled mother could safely go up and down a few sets of wooden stairs without slipping. Well, the pups seem to do well, but the mats are constantly moving out of place. My mother has managed to trip as one slid from beneath her. Luckily for me, I was standing in front of her making sure she was safe while coming down. Alternative, she is no longer able to go upstairs unless she is escorted even though there is stairwell handle in place. Reason for two stairs is because the color is as described and the product seems somewhat well made. Perhaps thicker grip will assist the slipping issue in the future. BTW: I purchased this item in anticipation of a move from one part of the country to another and wanted to make sure that I had all needed items ready to set up my our new home with specific safety features so mother would be safe. Thus, no return available since it is outside the return window.

The treads seem to vary in length I bought two sets and some treads didn't fit (too long).

It is practical

These are very nice stair treads. Good quality and look so much better than I thought they would. I bought them for my dog who is getting on and was having trouble on the hardwood stairs. I would have given 5 stars except they do not stay in place without tape. I was not surprised by this based on other reviews so I did attach them with double-sided carpet tape. I inquired at my local flooring store and they assured me that if I wanted to remove them at some point the carpet tape would not ruin my hardwood. Fingers crossed on that. The colour is great and does not show dirt. I just vacuum to clean. So far no spills but when that happens they will have to be spot cleaned in place.

Looks and feels amazing worth every penny, you will have to add on some adhesion likely though. But it's a top quality product 100%

They are pretty and the black border really sets them off. Fleck is white. Not as thick or heavy duty as the ones I had but look better. I used the two way corner tape provided and they don’t move. Old dog still able to do the stairs!
