I can not use this product as I had intended. I purchased the recorder to record frequencies but the speaker is so poor that it makes a vibration noise so bad that I am unable to use the recorder. The shipping cost is too much to return so I will have to live with it.

This used, inexpensive cassette deck looks and functions as though it were new. The controls work smoothly, and the sound is clear and loud enough, if a bit tinny (too much treble) compared to my previous look-alike Sony version of this cassette deck. But it does what it's supposed to do as an inexpensive cassette deck and I have no complaints. Very quick shipment of deck after purchase.

It's a nice tape deck, but it only records in mono. Great for dictating. It came complete, except I had to go buy 4 C batteries. So make sure to order batteries as well. Thank you very much for this purchase.

I works well enough. I comes with a casette so you can test it out right away - I normally prefer Maxell or TDK but it works for a tester to make sure it works - maybe I'll use it to record an audio book but not for music.The only bad side is C batteries - who the heck has C batteries laying around? It also only records in mono for some reason.

I expect hiss with a cassette player but I have three other players and can confirm the hiss is excessive on this unit. The speaker is tinny and the sound is distorted with few midtones and of course zero bass. I had to return because the motor played too slow, with the music at the wrong pitch. The buttons seem to be made of brittle plastic, likely to break with repeated use. It is an inexpensive unit, so you can’t really complain it’s cheaply made..
