Great distance
I got this laser pointer because I am a PE teacher and I need to point out things like posters or spots on a wall that are clear across the gym. I'm getting too old to run over to the location each time! 😆 This pointer is a little larger than I wanted, but it easily fits into my pocket. It is a little smaller than a pencil and about the width of a regular size cigar. It came with different filters to make different shapes with the laser, but I only use the solid green dot. It shows up well in rooms lit by lights and rooms that are drowned in sunshine.It is also very easy to charge with the USB thingy.

Extremely bright.
This is an extremely bright 100mw green laser. It does seem to be well made and I like that you can just remove the metal end cap and plug it into a USB phone charger to recharge its internal battery. It puts out the single beam by itself, and came with several screw on lens caps to make it project stars or dots or x shapes. But in no way would I recommend using this as a cat toy unless you want to risk eye damage. You also want to be careful not to point it at anyone or anything reflective. It is powerful enough to pop a dark colored balloon from a couple of feet away. And it will project its beam for hundreds of feet so be careful. Fun to play with, but a serious device too.

Great laser pointer and rechargeable too
Purchased for a stupid home improvement project to spot a mounting point on a nearby tree. This pointer worked great in direct sunlight. Don't let the low price worry you about features, functions or construction. Well built and charges up quickly.

Extraordinary laser pointer
Great laser pointer distance - bright point at around 200 yards. Used laser to identify tree branches for triming by landscaper who now wants the laser. Also used laser to chase coyote off my pier. USB port recharges Laser quickly.
