Just getting started in masonry? This is a great little kit to get you going. This is also a really good set for home owners who want to see if they can do a few simple projects without spending too much money. Good luck everyone who purchased this in your endeavors! I am not a mason nor do I work construction ... I am retired and needed a few tools to do house repairs and 'glue' some bricks and rocks together. This kit is nice. The tools are fine for hobby/weekend warrior use. Yes, the welds are not slick and polished but for the price of ONE 11in trowel from Marshalltown, I got a whole set. A bit of light oil after cleaning and they will last.

All tools are heavy-duty, feel solid and fit in my hand comfortably. I’m a DIYer, so the set will not be put through the grinder of daily use although it seems the tools are built to handle it.

Like the quality of the material one issue I have is that this package needs a medium size trowel other that I like that product would recommend to my friends.
