Luxilon ALU Power Tennis String - Set and Reel

I’ve always liked these string, they really seem to have insane playability. The feel on these are also amazing and the rough grooves allow for more bite and spin on the ball. I’ve found it improve my game significantly after using it for a while.

Excellent string. I've been stringing my own rackets for 30 years and this is the best string of the dozens I've used. When I switched to this string I immediately noticed both increased power and control. There is almost zero string movement, so I do not see the same "notching" wear common with most other strings, including synthetic gut. As a result I've yet to break this string, though I've restrung to gain more comfort with lighter tension. This is an extremely stiff string. With other strings I use 55 lbs on my Wilson N Code Tour idsize rackets. With the Alu Pro, I use 46 lbs, and it still feels firm. The knock on these strings is that they could transmit more shock to the elbow or shoulder, but I've had no problems at all in this regard. .

This string is perfect for the advanced player looking for high control when swinging hard and when looking for touch. I switched from a pentagonal poly that provided great grip but was sorely lacking in the power department. I will say that while I feel that I am no longer losing any power due to the string, I have gotten some arm soreness that I have to make sure I have a shock absorber on the racquet for.

This the classic and maybe one of the original poly strings that was released. Luxilon has been making poly strings for a long time, so they have pretty consistent quality. Gives excellent bite on the ball, so totally worth it for those who want to generate good spin. Majority of the professionals typically use this string in their racquet. It has a proven track record for performance. That said, I think the cost isn't worth the results the strings give you. You can very similar performace poly strings for half the price. If you want to save money, look else where. If money isn't a concern and want consistent performance, then you can't go wrong with this string!

It was my first time trying this 16 gauge poly string. I am a 3.5 USTA player and used it as crosses in a hybrid setup with Hawk Touch 17 mains. It has great control, feel, power and playability. I love it! FYI, I had previously used Techifibre NRG 16 crosses, and I noticed these Luxilon ALU strings are more arm friendly.

no. 1 string on the ATP tour for a reason- the volleys and serve noticeable improvement these strings are for the power player who wants to take their game to the next level. You'll notice more pop on your serve no question.. I haven't had any elbow pain/issues these come in the sky blue and the silver I am told the silver plays even a little better but I like the blue so sticking with it.
