MasterClass Stainless Steel Mandoline Slicer Set (8-Piece)

This Mandoline set is really good, it is half the price of the more well known expensive ones but does just as good a job if not better as it has attachments also. it is sturdy and non slip. Diferent blades make light work of many different recipes, and the finger guard does actually do its job well. I am happy I have purchased this one. It does just what it says on the box, well worth the money I paid for it.

I bought this recently and have used it a lot more than I thought I would. I have found no problem with the slicing width as it has a gauge on the side, a bit fiddling to clean but worth the aggro. The build quality is excellent with the blades kept in a seperate box - I keep the machine in it's original box - a little bulky - if I was being picky

AVOID. Buy a different brand or stick to a knife.Pros:Solid build, stainless, stable in use, adjustable thickness (sort of).Cons:Doesn't work. The blades come in a box marked "Warning: Sharp Blades". This is absolute lies! Blades are unbelievably bad. Actually blunt. The crinkle-cut and grater attachments are just pressed stainless steel and have had no sharpening process applied to the cutting surfaces whatsoever. They cut merely through blunt trauma, consequently vegetable juices end up all over the kitchen and harder vegetables like potatoes tend to break rather than cut. The straight cut blade is also shockingly bad for the price of this kit, it's not very sharp at all (duller than a Stanley knife blade), and is just glued into a plastic frame which deforms it from flat so you can't even attempt to sharpen it properly. It also had a small nick in it from the factory! Bits of food get caught in the gap between housing and blade making it hard to clean. Have not been able to produce thin slices as the thing just isn't sharp enough. The julienne blades are not as bad.Annoyingly the finger guard doesn't push down far enough to allow the last cut of a harder vegetable to be made, so you end up wasting it or risking your fingers anyway.Honestly the worst bit of kitchen gear I've ever bought. The design isn't bad but the execution is awful, I can't believe how bad it is for something that's supposed to cost over fifty quid. It would probably be quite good if supplied with quality blades, but it isn't, unless I somehow got a bad batch.AVOID.

I have so far only used this a couple of times when making soups and dealing with a large volume of vegetables. I really need more practice as it is a bit fiddly. The quality of the product is good, but the instructions are not too clear. I took me a long time to realise how you put certain blades in (or maybe it was a senior moment). Having just had my kitchen upgraded I 'treated' myself to the mandoline. I hope this is not going to be a 'toy' that stays in the cupboard!! I have given it 3 stars because I need more practice to get more familiar with the product.

OK, it's fiddly to construct, a sod to wash and just isn't worth getting out of the drawer if you only need to slice one onion ....This is a professional grade product, and of the genre it's the best you'll get. I echo another reviewers frustration about the blades, although I think the problem actually is in a bit of slackness in how the thing fits together.If you've got to slice 20 odd onions, or dice or julienne or whatever, there isn't really a better device for the job. Unless you want to use a sharp knife and blood, sweat and tears.It's not a great deal better when you use it than the sort of thing you see on the all night shopping channels, but it will go through a wish-dosher, and you will still be able to use it years from now, once the plastic has cracked and failed on the other things.

You have to be sure you need one of these before you buy as they are not cheap. We weren't and we didn't, but if you are and do it is of exceptional quality.

I bought the mandoline as a birthday present for my Husband. He is a keen cook and thought this would be very useful and save time chopping. On three occasion when using the mandoline to chop carrots,cabbage and courgettes,with different blades,it became a battle ground. The items were not cut evenly and it looked to be very tricky to get the food in the correct position on the mandoline. I have no doubt that some will say, I have one and it works just fine but there must be a knack to it and one which after several attempts we cant master. I want something quick and easy to use and unfortunately this definitely wasn't it. Amazon were fantastic in the refund and return process however and I will continue to use their services in the future.

Solidly made, a good choice of blades in their own storage box. Very easy to use although it had no instructions, it did't tke long to figure it out

Ich finde diese Mandoline absolut spitze. Alle Messer sind wirklich scharf und funktionieren im wahrsten Sinne reibungslos. Rutscht nicht, dank der Stopper und Reinigung geht blitzschnell. Würde dieses Modell jeder Zeit wieder kaufen und bevorzuge es vor den billigeren Plastikgeräten

come in molti penso, ho già avuto a che fare con mandoline made in china da 10€ che funzionavano x una settimana e poi si rompevano subito. così ho deciso di fare un investimento e spendere un po' di più ma comprare un prodotto serio. pensate che è GARANTITO 25 anni!!!è un po grossa ma ne vale davvero la pena, è molto pratica da lavare perchè le lame si tolgono tutte e quindi una passata sotto l'acqua corrente e la mandolina è apposto! prezzo giusto. molto utili le 7 lame, la regolazione dello spessore è in millimetri ed è perfettamente stabile grazie a due viti sui due lati. ho letto la recensione di tama e volevo dire che quello che le è successo non è da assogettare al prodotto ma al servizio di amazon, e comunque sono cose che possono capitare a me è successo di peggio non in amazon ma su altri siti. io compro su amazon già da tempo e devo dire che il servizio è ottimo, specialmente la modalità prime

Sieht professionell aus, weil aus Edelstahl und sogar von einem Gastroausrüster zum doppelten Preis angeboten wird.Ist aber völlig ungeeignet.Die Schnittkraft ist viel zu groß, so daß der Schlitten kippt. Von Hand geht es schneller.

e devo dire che questo lo è di certo. Ottimo materiale in acciaio inox, robusto, semi-professionale. Le 7 lame consentono di sbizzarirsi come i veri cuochi! Le lame sono molto affilate e consento un taglio di precisione. Il prodotto è un po' ingombrante ma fortunatamente ho spazio e poi come tutti i prodotti professionali o semi-professionali DEVE esserlo!!
