Pigtail Safety Shim

Must have for any frequent drop & hooks
I run local, pulling containers. Often times I hook a chassis just to find out the electrical barrel on that chassis is so worn out that I need to jam something underneath to keep the lights working properly. Previously I used a zip tie that I cut up, and would stick a couple of them under the pigtail. With this, I can just have it on the pigtail at all times. It slides back enough that if I don't actually need to use it, I can still plug in my electrical line normally. If the connector is loose (like most of them are on DCLI chassis), I plug in my electrical and slide this wedge forward on the pigtail. 9/10 times it works right away. The times it doesn't, I just have to move this wedge around the pigtail and my lights will work properly. If you do a lot of drop & hooks, especially if you pull containers, these wedges are a must-have.

Must have for truck drivers
These are becoming harder to find at truck stops, but these are a necessary item that all truck drivers need to have on them for trailers

Work amazing
I drive LTL doubles so I'm constantly hooking and dropping. These shims are a life saver on trucks & trailers with worn power connectors. When this trick isn't enough use Noalox paste in the holes of your power cord and you'll be good to go 95% of the time.

The shim does the job. Have been using it for about 2 months. Still holding strong.
