Applaws is one of our favorite pet food brands to begin with. All their canned foods and toppers are real meat and not processed into an unrecognizable state. When you open the can, you see shredded chicken and not preformed chunks of meat. This can be added on top of dry food to provide additional nutrients and entice picky eaters.

These dog food toppers seriously look like human food. You can identify every ingredient by looking at it and it has a real food odor. I make my own homemade food topper for them using chicken, squash, carrots, peas, and blueberries. Sometimes I run out and don't have time immediately to make more, so I will then either have them go without until I can make more or use a canned or pouched topper for a quick and easy fix. This topper is hands down one of the best I've used and all three dogs absolutely loved it. I have giant breed dogs, so I did have to give each two cans at a feeding, but I knew that I'd need to do that going in. I would absolutely recommend this high quality food for any dog.

The media could not be loaded.  When I opened the can and smelled this food if I didn't read the label I would have guessed this was meant for human consumption. It really does smell GOOD. lol The ingredients are chicken, rice and broth. From what I could see, there wasn't nearly as much rice as there was chicken, and the chicken is shredded finely and packed into the can. You have to scrape at it to get it out, that is how dense the chicken is.I'm comfortable feeding this to her because its 100% natural with no additives and there are only three ingredients and nothing in there that you can't pronounce.Not only do I use this as a topper on her dry food, it makes a great treat as well. Just a scoop and she's thrilled. Did I mention she is a kitty? Yes, the chicken is THAT good. Cat approved.

My dog seems to enjoy having of little of this mixed in with her dry dog food, haven't used it very long so will update if there are any issues.

We ordered the Applaws Chicken Taste Toppers and found with its natural safe ingredients, were ( already gone before this review) devoured quickly at mealtime. Each of the four fur babies smelled the chicken instantly upon opening the can and couldn't wait.With simple ingredients like chicken breast, broth and rice, this is a simple WINNER!!All kitties give this a five-paws up review.

I do believe I have got the pickiest puppy in the world. She's a 4 year old Jersey Terrier and she only eats certain foods/treats. I've tried her with other toppers, even ones that have gotten 5 star reviews and cost a small fortune. Nope. Not my puppy. She turns her nose up at them.I ordered the Applaws Taste Toppers hoping against hope that she would at least try it. Oh wow. I have never seen her sit at her food dish waiting to get served. But that's what she does now. I only give her about half a can at a time on her food. She loves it. Her favorite one is the plain chicken breast in broth.And I'm pleased because it's 100% natural with no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.

This is a food topper and not a complete food. It is perfect as a special treat or for dogs who need a little encouragement to eat their dry food. My dogs are not at all picky but this makes for a great addition on special occasions - they love it. I gave a can to a friend who has a picky eater and her pup loved it too. I really appreciate that it is an all natural product and highly recommend it.
