A great piece of kit!
I purchased this to put into a 2013 VW Passat - although it had BT and SatNav, it doesn’t have Google Maps and other essential apps. Instead of the faff of installing a new Head Unit, I ordered this. It arrived next day, and installation was non-existent - just choose your mount type. The box comes with either a dashboard mount or a windscreen mount. I chose to use the windscreen mount. The cable is nice and long - I also purchased a cigarette lighter extension, so I can plug this and my dashcam into the same 12v on the car. I need to tidy the wire up, but as you can see, it’s long enough to run along the entire dash, down the passenger door, under the glove box, and into the 12v extension next to the passenger seat. No cables trailing across the wheel! Unlike some suction-mounted devices, this hasn’t come off of the screen, despite an initial five hour drive. And it’s still on! That’s great! This device supports Apple Car Play, Android Auto, Android Screen Mirroring, etc. I use this device for Android Auto, and I’ve set it up to auto connect. To make sure it connects, you need to, on your phone, have WIFI ON - this creates a direct wifi link to the unit. Then, you need to have it paired via bluetooth too. Navigation directions can come either directly from the unit - and the volume is more than enough to accommodate this - or via your car’s sound system, if you connect via bluetooth. You can also use it to play music from Spotify, YouTube Music, or whatever other streaming service you specify. Again, this can be played either directly throught the unit, or through the car’s speakers. The brightness is easily adjustable, and there’s a setting that allows you to change to night mode at a time that you choose. The unit detaches quickly and easily from the mount, so is great for security. The only thing I would suggest to the manufacter is to have the base serve as a docking station - you need to put the device into the mount, and then plug in the power USB cable. Or vice versa, whatever you choose. It starts up quickly, and is up and running in Android Auto mode very quickly. All in all, it’s a very good little unit, at a cracking price - well worth buying to avoid the hassle of having to tear your car apart installing a head unit (like I did on my last car!)

Works very well for the price.
Honestly presently surprised. Bought on a whim. Almost a chuck away price. If it didn’t work properly, or stopped all together I could bin it without feeling totally ripped off. Seen similar products that’d make me cry if it didn’t work. Went in with the obvious no name Chinese electronics reservations. A month later and Apple CarPlay works just as well here as in the works vans built in stereo. And CarPlay is a far better experience than trying to use the iPhone in a cradle. I wish there was some good generic option for using the phone in a cradle. Since there isn’t this product is well worth the purchase. The audio crackles through the Aux, but so does my phone, so I’m thinking that’s more a cable/stereo issue. Haven’t tried the FM tuning option, I remember that not being too great on long journeys back in the old iPod days. I’d rather put up with the cracke through the Aux. Don’t think you’d get a better experience without paying for a new head unit with CarPlay built in.

I hope the seller will explain
I purchased this item long ago but don't usednjust coz I got a new car and didn't need this device . I just checked it if works, turns on etc. Now after almost a year I got to use it. I can see in comments people are saying there are ore installed apps on this device. But, on my one there is no pressure installed apps like maps etc . I don't know why Hope will hear from seller how to setup it as there are no ore installed apps

Piece of garbage
Hopefully the seller agrees to replace it. Either way I'll update my review either positive or negatively. It didn't work at first (turns out it had just blown the fuse) when I plugged it into the radio extreme white noise blasted through the car and it started smoking. Update - After being screwed about for a week after being convinced to buy another one the seller refused to refund this one. Had to get Amazon involved and put in a formal complaint against this seller to get a working unit. Do not buy from this seller

Absolute champion
I bought this for my MK1 mx5 as my phone is a very non standard size and isn't ideal for navigation. Screen is nice and touch sensitive, extremely quick to setup and power. Most importantly seems to be absolutely invincible. The weather has been very warm lately with the cabin reaching 45c and my phone overheating. However this screen, stuck to the dash in the direct sun over a 4 hour drive did not even slow down once never mind shut off. 10/10

Works a treat!!
Works a treat! Connects the audio by tuning into a station on your stereo! Just plug the screen into a usb port or cigarette socket and your ready to go! Auto connects after first install within about 5 seconds of starting the engine! Nice bright screen and the touch screen works perfect and isn’t laggy! I have the heart fm app on my phone which gives me a selection of dab stations and google maps and Spotify! Bargain for what it does really!!

Good Unit
Nice unit and works better than most! I like the dual Bluetooth function. Only issue was my package arrived and the screen was a bit dirty which was disappointing. I drive a small car and the suction cup mount is a bit large and can get in the way - a smaller one would be good for smaller cars.
