A great idea which allows four different sounds from a 4wire humbucker pickup without the hassle of routing and adding additional switches!! Fairly straightforward to install using the supplied instructions, I fitted two of these to a dual humbucker guitar with a three way switch, resulting in 24 different pickup configurations, some just slightly different from others. It has increased the versatility of the guitar substantially without altering the look, the plastic rings could be more robust but once fitted are under no duress. I highly recommend the product, the seller and other products from the same manufacturer.

Bought this to replace one I made a real mess of when installing and managed to fit this without many problems. The concept is good if you don't want to add any push pull pots on your guitar and works very well the P-Rails. Make sure you get the right one as there is one for arched top guitars. Be prepared to cut of the excess amount of wire and make sure you properly tin the wires from the pick-up to make it easier to solder.

Fabulous tone & versatility!
Couldn't love it more. At first I was a little concerned that switch changes would be slow and difficult, but the switching functionality is quite intuitive. Pinch togother for series, opposite for parallel, and both towards the selected coil (top or bottom) for coil tap. What I love most about the TS-1 is that it allows me to choose which pickup to play on a coil tap which gives me the choice of two distinctive sounding "single coil" pickups on my SD Pearly Gates used on the bridge of a Tele plus mod, in effect a fourth function not available with a single toggle switch. I also love the stealth look as most people would miss the switches in a visual once over and the guitar body is not cluttered with extra switches or altered by additional drilling.

Severely disappointed
I was initally really excited to get this and pair it with my Seymour Duncan P-Rails. Up until I took it out of the box, I was thrilled about the concept of quick and easy pickup selections. However, it quickly turned into a nightmare. To start, the ring itself is very flimsy and feels cheap. It felt lighter and more delicate than my regular pickup ring, which surprised me because it shouldn't have been with the switches. I figured I would just be careful not to overtighten the screws and it should be okay. That was my 1st sign I should have reconsidered using it.2nd sign came when I had soldered my pickup wires to their connecter. Seemed easy enough, and it was; but because the connector added quite a bit of thickness to what was in the cavity, I couldnt get my pickup to lay flat. I really didnt want to have to trim the pickup wires until absolutely necessary, and it seemed I was given no choice, so I did to reduce the amount of clutter in the cavity.....still didnt fit.As I tried to rearrange the wires and connector, desperately just trying to get the pickup to lay low enough so it wasnt touching the strings.....the ribbon that connects the circuit board to the switches detached from the board, rendering everything I had done until that point useless.I now was left with a useless and broken piece of cheap hardware, and a pickup with wires way too short to connect traditionally. Eventually, I said screw it and bought a push-pull pot, replacing the regular pot I had installed (again, another now useless part) and carefully resoldered and taped together the pickup wire I had trimmed. But I was left spending more money than I needed to, and a broken $30 part I never could use.As of this review, Ive heard nothing from Seymour Duncan in regards to my experience. Their pickups sound amazing; but their hardware definitely needs a lot of work before its advertised as a perfect pair for one of their pickups.

Essential controller for the p- rail pickup.
This works like a dream. Gives you four distinct pick ups fast and easy. Easy to install. A plus!!

Great idea, with some major flaws
If you have P-rails or any other humbucker that gives you useful parallel/ series/ single coil variations, the Triple Shot is THE way to access them. Without them, you'd need to add at least four extra switches/ push-pull pots etc to your guitar. This is an intuitive and elegantly simple solution that doesn't require modifications or advanced understanding of guitar wiring.However...They're kinda flimsy. The little switches are obviously pretty delicate - the first one I bought had one switch that didn't click, it just kinda slid into place. When I moved it to another guitar, the ribbon cable just fell off the circuitboard - and I guess I'm not the only one to have the issue, because it's the replacement came with a BIG blob of glue right in that spot. So big that I had to shave some glue off for the pickup to fit inside. The pickup ring is a poor fit for arched or carved tops. It comes up pretty far on the switch side, possibly enough to bug you if that's where you pick and strum. And you're pretty much out of luck if you have a guitar with a pickguard - you can either enlarge the pickup cutout or place the Triple Shot on top, neither of which is a great solution. These have been out for several years, long enough for another manufacturer to recognize the niche and provide an alternative. Maybe there is no better substitute than installing extra switches/pots/etc...
