Ultralight Travel Packing Cube

I’ve been using the Osprey Ultralight Travel Packing Cube Set for several months on camping trips, trekking weekends, and long-distance travel, mainly inside technical backpacks ranging from 25L daypacks to 50L trekking packs. After multiple trips, these cubes became one of the most useful organization systems I carry. What makes this set stand out is how efficiently it works inside performance-oriented backpacks where every centimeter matters. Unlike bulkier packing cubes, these are genuinely ultralight and low-profile, so they do not waste internal volume or create awkward dead space inside the pack. For a 25L setup, I typically use: Small cube for base layers, socks, and thermal accessories Medium cube for activewear or insulated layers Large cube for camp clothing or compact sleeping gear Inside a 50L backpack, they become even more effective because they create modular load zones. I can separate dry clothing, sleep system layers, cooking accessories, and weather gear without constantly unpacking the entire bag at camp. During multi-day hikes and overland travel, that level of organization saves an enormous amount of time. The fabric is thinner than traditional travel cubes, but that is intentional. Osprey clearly designed these for weight-conscious travelers and hikers rather than rigid suitcase organization. Despite the lightweight material, mine have handled repeated compression, rough campsite packing, and constant friction inside technical packs without tearing or zipper failure. Another detail I appreciate is how smoothly they compress soft goods. Because the material remains flexible instead of overly structured, the cubes adapt naturally to irregular backpack shapes and curved back panels. This is especially useful in alpine-style or ultralight backpacking setups where pack geometry matters. The zippers are reliable, lightweight, and easy to operate even with cold hands in outdoor conditions. The grab handles also make transitions at campsites or hostels very efficient when pulling specific gear quickly from deep inside a backpack. Love Osprey and their quality products, this one is no exception. Use them for a dry bag for wet clothes. Also, great for space saving when packing light

I’m actually surprised how much the large cube can fit. As for the other two smaller cubes to me seems like a waste, so mixing packing cubes with my daylite series creste a better travel set up.

The first thing I look for when I buy anything of this color is the accuracy, and I’ll tell you it’s true to the photo, it’s a beautiful shade of darker teal. I’d say that the size was exactly what I was expecting honestly, and I’m happy with the medium. I was disappointed that the seller’s photos in the listing don’t have anything showing size and there aren’t any photos in the reviews, so I’ll do my best to come back and add them from my phone. The packing cube is easy to use, it’s a packing cube… but for the sake of the review, the zipper is a great quality and it glides smoothly, no snags. The weight is fantastic, it won’t add anything to your bag and it will really take the shape of whatever you fill it with. You can tell right away that it is a great quality. Very happy with this purchase and will get more in the future.

This is basically a plastic bag with a zipper. Doesn't feel very sturdy, quite small. I don't feel like this is a good value for money

They seem to be well made and of good quality, but, they're expensive for what they are really - I'm hoping they turn out to be a good investment over time and they last a long time. That said, so far, these have been really useful on a few recent trips, and its amazing what a difference they make to my packing! I feel like I'm able to organise my suitcase so much better than before, and fit more clothes in the same space. The handles are really useful for pulling them out and the material they've been made with makes them slide out easily. I wish they made these in more sizes though, especially some larger sizes than those currently offered. This pack of 3 isn't really enough for a trip if you want all your clothing organised, so I ended up ordering another set of these, plus a couple more individual ones. Once you've got a few of them of the same size, there's also no way to tell them apart due to not being able to see what's inside / no indication on their contents and no labels (I guess you could stick something to them?).

These were smaller than expected. My shirts fit ok in the largest one, and then smaller two are only really useful for underwear and socks. The smallest one is almost too small for any real use. If you need something for larger sweaters or pants, then I’d advise finding bigger packing cubes than these.
