First i wish i could deduct only a HALF star for NO INSTRUCTIONS?!? But minus a full star would be unfair - it was not very hard to figure out, especially not after lookingvatvreviews and videos for this and similar products.With limited use so far (several periods of use in one day):the flex and extension dials were easy to understand, to set, and did what they were supposed to do.My son's thigh is right on the line between L and XL (21 inches); we got XL which was able to be tightened very snug/securely.The relatively long design, with two tightening straps for each of thigh and calf, seem to allow fir some customizeability and hold the hinge bars pretty firmly aligned with upper and lower leg.The materials and construction seem sturdy and of good quality, especially for a device that was a half or a third the price of fancier alternatives.The flex limitation works almost exactly as set (ie, 90 degree setting limits flexion to 90 degrees). You have to set the extension limiter a little higher than the extension-limitation you actually want (ie, set it at 20 or 45 degrees to limit to 10-15 degrees). This problem is minimized by tightening the straps very tight.Overall, it does what it is supposed to, was comfortable enough, secure/did not slide down my son's leg while he was actively moving around. Very happy i bought it.

By putting the velcro closures on the face - rather than behind the knee - the designers of this brace have created the foundation for an easy to wear and fully functional knee immobilizer! Further, by making the foundation slightly longer below and above the immobilizer, there is room for 4 easily adjustable straps. Using 4 instead of the "standard" 2 serves to actually stabilize and immobilize the knee while keeping the brace comfortably in place. And, finally, by making the adjusting dials easy to adjust, it facilitates going from a fully immobilized knee when standing or walking to a flexible one for driving...and the price is less than the non-functional competition!

There are dozens of other options, some for 3-5x the price. This one works great.I tore my LCL and had to keep my leg straight. This does the trick. Very comfortable and sturdy. Make sure you measure your leg correctly. The size matters a lot, so if you're unsure go one size up, but too small would not be good.

I broke my femur and I couldn't put weight on my leg and my leg started buckling. So my therapist recommend me purchasing this and in no time it worked. It stopped my knee from buckling in and allowed me to put some weight on my leg for me to heal. I recommend this for anyone that has any problems with walking

Product is very comfortable. It took 3 tries to get one that was new and not used and dirty. Very bad quality control with returned items.It keeps sliding down within a few minutes it slips down my leg no matter how tight it is. Why won’t it stay in place. It is comfortable but won’t stay in place.

Really disappointed with this, it's very hard to adjust the straps for a secure fit. Worst part is there were NO instructions, the dials to adjust the angles on the brace are loose and difficult to move. Don't waist your money on this, it's junk and I'm going to return it

I tore my ACL amd MCL and the brace they gave me in the ER was uncomfortable and terrible so I ordered this one bc it had pretty good reviews.. I am very happy with it. I have to keep my leg braced all of the time. It is awesome. The sleeve is so comfortable and keeps the Velcro from digging into my leg. Very strong Velcro keeps the brace in place. Easily adjustable. It also very easy to walk in. My physical therapist even said it was a nice brace and was impressed with it! I highly recommend this brace!

I got this brace to replace a hinged one I'd been using previously. I liked the idea that I could dial it in to prevent overextension or too much bend. Great concept. However, the brace doesn't offer good knee support. After half a day wearing it, including one trip to the grocery store and walking from my car to a restaurant, my knee is screaming with pain and a week's worth of healing is undone. Maybe I didn't put it on correctly. Maybe others are having better luck. Maybe medical devices like knee braces aren't something that should be purchased self-service from Amazon. Or maybe this one just sucks in the support department. I'm going back to the other one that does give the support I need.
