it worked well, but didn’t last very long

I wasn’t at all sure that this would control the amount of flies that get into my kitchen. I have bought other types and shapes that promised miracles but none actually performtimes as needed. I have had to replace the 2 tubes once but that process was easy. It makes quite a loud crack noise when a fly enters which takes a bit of getting used to and has caught large and small flies, wasps and mosquitoes and even the occasional moth. Just hang it up or stand on its base fairly high and you won’t be disappointed.

We spent over £23 on this zapper but when it arrived, it was small and clearly the build quality was very low. It was difficult to remove the outer plastic grill and every time you tried, there was the fear that the plastic mounds would break or bend making it difficult to re-fix it.However, the biggest issue was that it didn’t work. We switched it on but it didn’t work. Then, 30 mins later the UV light came on but then went off again. Rotating the bulbs to ensure correct contact had no effect.Returning the product.

I use this in my flat which is situated close to a canal and river. Midges everywhere, especially in the kitchen. It is very satisfying to hear the 'crack' of another one hitting the electrified wire.

All flies are either out or inside this thing after hearing a very satisfying sound, a bit sad.

Definitely works when the flys hit it, only problem is they dont really seem attracted to it
