I gave this product five stars based on the model I used for years. I have a toggle switch for my porch light and used the Switchmate toggle version for years. It was flawless. Turned my light on and off exactly based on my schedule. Set it and forget it. No wiring, great app. It just magnetically attaches to the faceplate. Unfortunately, switchmate no longer makes one for toggle switches. 😢 I ordered this by mistake and returned it because it only works with rocker switches. I have searched all over the country (literally) for one that works with toggle switches with no luck. I can’t fathom why Switchmate no longer makes or supports a device for toggle switches. I can’t be the only home that has no rocker switches. If anyone from Switchmate reads this — please help a guy out and replace the toggle version.

The installation is amazing. No tools, magnetic, so simple. That's all I can say is good about this product. You need to download the Switchmate app to use it. Bluetooth and location must be on (which I hate because it'll drain your phone battery). After all that and figuring out how to connect it, it'll disconnect as soon as you walk away from it. When I try to turn it on/off, I just get this message. The only thing that works is completely disconnecting and reconnecting it. This product has a great concept and horrible execution. I was so excited to get it and now I'm just so disappointed. I have my whole room hooked up to wifi controlled switches and I was hoping to have my ceiling lights hooked up as well without needing to replace the light switch completely. This doesn't connect to wifi. It only connects to bluetooth on its own independent app that's rarely functioning as intended. Don't buy this.

Works very well, only down side is it is power hungry, it eats batteries. Remedied by using rechargeable AA batteries

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Really like this product! SO easy to setup! In fact reason why I purchased since needs no hard wiring. The app took a little bit to understand but once I got it, set up was complete. Certainly gives a peace of mind being able to have lights turn in with a schedule. Ease of installation: Main reason I purchased due to no hard wiring. Super easy to install unit. Fit: Perfect fit to the switch plates. Connectivity: Easy to connect to WiFi Control capability: Like being able to use the app or manually. Value for money: Nice price for product.

Works well. The Bluetooth switch works well but the WiFi outlet does not.

I have been using Switchmate for years. I finally had to replace one and the one I purchased absolutely, positively refused to take the firmware update. I tried everything outlined by Switchmate and everything else I found online. I tried to "Skip," but every time I opened the app, I'd get a message to update the firmware. Then the scheduled operation wouldn't work. I exchanged it for another; same story. I submitted a ticket for support -- and nothing. I am going to return the replacement and hope I can find an alternate device.

Easy to install. You need Alexa to work with. Without Alexa it’s useless. No remote on and off.

This is a pretty useful tool for lazy people or people who prefers convenience. Very quick and easy installation. The magnets in the back are surprisingly very strong and secure. But it does give off a whirring sound when operating. Not convenient for a sleeping baby. The Bluetooth connection feels buggy sometimes. Either wait a moment or restart the app usually fixes the connection. I still haven't quite figured out how to connect to Alexa or Google yet. Will need to check YouTube for that.

Does not work.

This is clearly one of the worst Bluetooth products I have tried to setup. No success I have tried three different IOS devices with the same result. A great concept-to bad it doesn’t work.
