Good mite treatment, for now.
Pros - Can treat when temps are hot. Doesn't shut down brood rearing like other treatments. More affordable than some options. Cons - Synthetic chemical that lasts longer in the hive than organic alternatives. It's losing it's effectiveness as mites become resistant to amitraz (active ingredient in Apivar) Make sure you test for mites again after treatment. It's losing it's effectiveness and you want to know if you still have a mite problem so you can try another option before the hive is too sick to make it through winter.

Frantic reaction
Amazon asked me to review it before the treatment is done so I haven’t been able to do a mite wash to determine efficacy. But my colony had lots of frenetic activity the day after I put the strips in. I pulled 1 strip out on the 3rd day and that helped. Hoping my bees aren’t resistant to amitraz.
