Excellent. Will use all year
This product is excellent. My Basil seeds or those provided were like magic beans. Cucumber seeds germinated within days and coriander very quickly. Not sure if all plants are suited to this but anything needing a lot of light and moist roots should be good. Needs a lot of attention and ideally a power supply on a timer.

OK for having a first go
Take note of the measurements as the mocked-up photos give an impression that this hydroponics kit is quite a bit bigger that it is. I've added a photo with a tin of beans next to it for scale - it's really rather cute.I have another iDoo unit which takes 12 pods and is four times bigger than this. For growing some basil, lettuce or similar it will do the job, but you would somewhat struggle to grow the bushy efforts that some of the product images show - those are clearly mocked-up.You might be able to get a single pepper or tomato plant to flourish in it, but any more it would probably run dry very quickly and you would be going through the supplied nutrient solution in no time.I'd suggest this is OK for kids who might find it quite interesting - it's compact size and limited scope means it won't require much maintaining. It requires only a small amount of power to run and is in-fact powered by a USB phone charger - which is included.I quite like the fact that it includes a sprouter tray and I am going to have a go at growing some bean-sprouts in it.It costs £50 which is not really too expensive, but for just another tenner you can get this 12 pod kit which would be a bit more versatile in terms of what can be grown.https://www.amazon.co.uk/GOLUMUP-Hydroponics-Growing-Germination-Gardening/dp/B0CP96QBYM/

Fantastic
Very easy to set up and use, but the instructions are not hundred percent clear. I am still confused about the label and the cover bit but it has worked well so far.

What fun! Grew some coriander - still going 6 weeks later
The media could not be loaded. Edit 2:I keep eating it and it keeps growing - sowed mid-August, now 4th October and the same seeds are still going (you can see the coloured lights in that photo).Edit: I did indeed grow coriander, I put two seeds per pot, it grew a decent mount of coriander - I ate some of the coriander before remembering to take a photo to update the review (oops) so there was more than in the picture.I am hoping for coriander after today's fun of setting up the hydroponics.I put a litre of water in, and that looked like it could be a a bit further up the cages, so I upped it to 1.5 litres. The two feed bottles have a handy 'squirty' cap for pouring and a measuring cap, they also have a silver sided cardboard seal cap which you can see on a later photo, the first one i poked out with a sharp thing and decided that wasn't good for reuse, so the second I poked out with the blunt end of a bamboo skewer. One of the feeds is granules the other is three tablets, I filled the water and shook them until everything seemed to have dissolved.Measured out the 7.5ml of each of the feeds. The little top can be removed to pour the feeds in to add to the water. Then the device is switched on with a long press, single short press to cycle through grow modes (Vegetables / Flower and Fruits), double short press to cycle through 12 hour vs 24 hour on pump. The pump is so silent that I needed to open the pouring 'window' to see if it was pumping - which as you can see it was.I personally found the instructions very easy to follow - hopefully in an amount of time (unknown to me) I will have coriander to show - I will update the review with growing results. It's quite small (roughly 8.5 x 5.5 inches as per the description) - which is perfect for me as it is in the window ledge. The only tiny thing is that I am not sure which pump mode I am in so in 14 hours I will have to see if the pump is doing 30 mins on/30 mins off and if not, a double click will send me into 24 hours mode.
