German Vocabulary Cards – 4 Dec. 2008

These cards are exactly what I was looking for and I can definitely recommend them as a good way to learn vocabulary quickly.The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is that it feels like some of the words could do with updating - words like "cassette recorder", "telegram", "video cassette", "floppy disc" etc should be replaced. But, still an excellent tool, well worth the money.

Excellent set of words and tenses for the beginner to learn even as a stand-alone.Well made and wipeable, should last forever.Good price and much easier to use than an oversized book

Comes perfect with plastic on it and useful

My (year 7) son started German lessons at school in September and I bought this as an aid to homework. I thought it might be consigned to the back of his desk to dwell amid the dust and bits of eraser but to my surprise he finds it really useful and has said a few times how much he likes it. It is easy to read, carry and display, unfolding to extend from A4 size. It has many useful aspects of grammar and I would definitely recommend.

A very useful quick reference to key vocabulary such as: numbers, measurements, colours, clothing, transactions (bank & shops), greetings, travel, directions, seasons, days of the week and months, time of day, weather etc. The vocabulary list is impressive in that it targets the most common vocabulary in conversational use. I would very much like a wall chart for my study wall.

I found it very useful as a vocabulary builder, to carry a few cards with me each day and review them as I went about my work. Reasonably good quality and easy to use indexing system.

I was after some science of grammar, but got a box of words with no sense of how to use them in a sentence, the quality of the card is thin and hard to get out of the box.
