The best book I could find and I really searched
I was looking for a book to prepare for consulting case interviews. My problem is less with getting the case correct and more with the process of getting the case correct. In the real interview, we have someone watching all along our solution. So not only this person expects us to show them what we are doing but they may actually help us along the way, as long as we are communicating clearly what we are doing. Although I have strong analytical and logical skills, my process for arriving at solutions is disorganized, and I struggle with oral communication. Florian teaches us how to solve the case in an orderly manner (even offering alternative approaches) and to communicate like a consultant along the way. The book offers more content than I expected (such as the fit interview) while still being concise and pleasant to read. I like that he relates a lot to the true work of consulting firms, which adds meaning to our preparation. Understanding why the selection process is set the way it is gives us extra motivation, as we feel that we are anticipating how our working life will be. Finally, the book contains plans for organizing the whole prep process and references to external resources so I advise you to get yours as soon as you can.

Great Read
The 1%: Conquer Your Consulting Case Interview: Unlock the secrets behind modern case and fit interviews and join the one percent that breaks into McKinsey, BCG, Bain, and other top firms is a great book. The book is an exceptional consulting preparation guide that surpasses other books on the topic. Despite being well-prepared for consulting interviews, the book will exceed your expectations. It offers a comprehensive and in-depth guide to the entire interview process, including often overlooked areas such as fit and interview attire. The author, Florian, recognizes the gaps in current guides that are out there and provides valuable insights, making it stand out from more general resources. The book's extent of topics is complemented by nuanced advice that challenges outdated approaches taught in common case books. The writing is clear, easy-to-read, and easy to understand, and chapters can be read in any order, catering to both beginners and experienced interviewees. Highly recommend.

A must-read for any aspiring consultant!
I have worked on case interviews previously and tried to learn skills and knowledge from almost all other online resources, but none come closer to what Florian provides in this book - the breadth, the depth, and even the relevance to the latest trends and situations.Another aspect that really resonates with me is the detailed preparation guide. It's great to know all the expected skills in an interview, but they won't truly be internalized until you put in the effort to train yourself and make them second nature. Most existing prep materials do not offer such a granular step-by-step guide to preparation, and this book perfectly fills that gap.Overall, this book serves as an excellent starting point for the preparation journey. After reading it, I feel excited about putting the theory into practice and hopefully, someday becoming a well-equipped candidate capable of securing MBB offers!

Must-Read if you want to break into Top Management Consulting
The book is the best resource out there if it is your goal to master the art of case interviews that are the standard interviewing tool at top management consulting firms including McKinsey, BCG, and Bain. It gives a thorough breakdown on the entire application process and discusses the interview stage in great detail. Case interviews are a unique feature of consulting interviews, and getting comfortable with them will increase your chances of a successful application considerably - this book will guide you through the process and teach you everything you need to know. There are a lot of references to additional resources, most of them free, so this is the best starting point for a preparation that I was able to find. I would also recommend checking out strategycase.com!

Extensive
This book is not a typical case study book. It is different in many ways as it is a book you can get many solutions. It covers aspects such as note-taking, dealing with mistakes, pre-screening calls, etc. This book is pervasive as it tackles changes that have happened since COVID-19. We have moved to a more digital interface using zoom to conduct interviews. I loved how in-depth the book went and the charts and graphs the author added to give a visual aid.

Insightful contents
There is quite a bit of useful information in this book. A lot of this information, or tips, I will certainly use in my next interview because I do not want to be where I am at forever. A lot of it is useful for even just basic interviews and it’s nice knowing more about the interview process. Not only is it going to help with your interview but it also gives you some insight into business problem solving.

Expectations pleasantly exceeded
I presumed this book would be another book about the basics of case interviews, in a very beginner-style tone, etc.. However, I was pleasantly taken aback by the breadth of content and applicable tips included. As a senior consultant who is about to switch from Big 4 to an MBB firm, this book taught me things in a new way, even things I have not considered or learned so far.
