Great Undercoat, goes on easy.
Really good undercoat, I used it over a dark wood too, it did take 2 coats but it was great for the same Leyland satin gloss. I used a roller it was perfect. for the gloss after. Washes out in water so easy and no smell at all really. Dries Fast! Great paint. You will need to put 2 coats on bare wood surfaces allowing the first to dry at least a few hours, not just touch dry. You could rub very gently with a fine sandpaper but wipe with damp cloth and allow to dry before second coat. I would use acrylic gloss though on top

Excellent time between coats
Bought to prime a wardrobe I build which was a combination of plywood and MDF. Did the job perfectly. Short time between coats saved a huge amount of time.

Leyland acrylic primer undercoat.
I have never used Leyland brand until now. This was Great. I didn't have to sand down the stained varnished wood, which I was dreading having to do. I was using it on architraving to match with the rest of the white woodwork. I gave it a couple of coats & it dries as a matt finish. Ive yet to gloss it but it took the hard work out of the preparation. It smooth application & I washed my brush off with cold water. Good stuff. I'll be using Leyland products again.

Thick primer
A good coverage undercoat, it’s fast drying, paints well is long lasting and smooth. There’s no lumps and it sticks well, also versatile quick and easy to use. Looks good when on and a hassle free paint that does the job.

Cheaper than any other undercoat yet a favourite among the trade.
I cannot speak to long-term exterior adhesion as I have not yet laid the finishing gloss coat over it. However, what I can say is that it is easy-peasy and non-drip to apply, and it can be applied thick or just scrumbled thinly onto say a masonry surface so as to keep as much rough adhesion as possible for the finishing gloss to grip. Why gloss on an exterior wall? Just on the lower end to resist the advances of my power-washer as a gloss surface more easily copes with volumes of water. Paintbrush washes very well in water afterwards. Couple of good video reviews from tradesmen on YouTube.
