Great patch! Bright colors and very sturdy. Sewing it on a duffle bag and it looks great.

Great stuff!
The quality is tip top, and looks exactly as pictured. Besides, I had a problem with the shipment, and the seller solved everything. I totally recommend it.

Nice subtle movie patch.
Great fan patch, as described. Adds a subtle sci-fi/geek touch to your winter coat.

THE THING from another continent!
Love it! So here's the story, an American company (whom shall remain nameless) had a similar Outpost 31 patch. But the only way to get the patch was to attend an exclusive event and scramble to be there very early. That's all fine and good, I totally understand the draw of exclusivity. But in hopes of them possibly having extra and/or a possible alternate version coming up for sale in the future, I e-mailed the company and politely inquired. I was e-mail back and rather harshly told that I blew it by failing to attend the exclusive event and that they will never sell an Outpost 31 patch. And then I found this. I must say that this patch looks lightyears better than the above mentioned "exclusive" patch. I wish I had found this beforehand by doing research and shopping around, because I would have chosen this one over the exclusive one regardless. This is my new favourite and I was pleasantly surprised at how fast this got to me in Canada!

Good for sew-on only
Most of the patch looks perfect but I wish the font that says "NATIONAL SCIENCE INSTITUTE" was a little more sharp and consistent. The colors are great and the overall quality of the embroidery is pretty good. If you intend to sew it on you should be happy with it. If you intend to put this patch on a nylon parka you will either have to risk melting your parka or you will have to be willing to poke holes in it with a sewing needle, which isn't great for gore-tex.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The problem with this patch is with the iron-on glue. I had to heat it up to 395 degrees F (202C) to get it barely soft enough to stick. Even at this temp it didn't stick that well but I couldn't go any hotter because I didn't want to melt my $600 parka. Also at about 395F the "1982" was starting to melt (hard to see in the picture). I believe the glue will need about 420F-430F to really work so, in other words, you probably can't iron this patch onto anything without damaging the embroidery. If you think this is a case of user error I'll explain my technique so you can decide. I started at 170F as measured by IR thermometer, pre heated the patch for as long as I thought it would take to get the patch up to iron temp (about 30-40 seconds), then tried to iron it on. I jumped the temp up in 20 degree incriments and repeated the process until I finally got to 395 and had to accept the less than great results.TL:DR The patch looks nice but it's basically useless for iron-on applications
