The Little Book of Maths Outdoors

Some lovely ideas. An oldie but a goodie.

This book is ideally suited for nursery/early years due to the activities suiting their numbers, in a classroom setting it might be hard, or impossible, to manage some of the activities with a full class. It is also VERY resource heavy, I doubt many classroom would have access to or the time to set up these activities unfortunately. However, having said all this, the activities are good and worthwhile, only some would suit ks1 and very early stages at that. I will be adapting some of them for my class, to suit and older level and be less resource heavy. It is a very easy read. For the price I paid second hand I am not too disappointed though and glad that I spent a few pounds on it.

Excellent book full of ideas.

I'm a home educating parent and this book does seem to have good ideas for learning and teaching, but really it is aimed at classroom teachers or big groups rather than at parents with one or two children.
