The mast is the correct height and the base plate to mast is very good and strong. However, the 2nd and 3rd sections are "flimsy" and the steel gauge is too thin to make it a more robust mast column. The sections are connected with sheet metal screws so extra care must be taken to protect the 6AWG wires inside. I used plastic flexible tubing ("Smurf Tubing") to protect the wires inside while adding a steel angle piece to make the mast more rigid.Because the mast is only 4 inches (100mm) wide, it's not wide enough to adequately fit a NEMA box so I added two aluminum plates 3/16" (7mm) thick to reinforce the top section.The price is right for what you get and if you don't mind making it a little better, you can save some money since most masthead posts can be expensive and in short supply.

The metal is thin, but for the price it’s kind of expected. It arrived all in one piece the screws to hold the three pieces together are good and it’s nice that it comes with two types of grommets for the holes one closed and one open. The pre-drilled holes lineup perfectly with the Tesla wall charger. The only thing I will say is the concrete anchors are complete crap that come with this get some better ones from the local hardware store.

Could not use this at all, the screws that go from the post to the base plate are not anywhere near the right size. I could not thread or screw it in at all, too thick. Was a waste of an hour trying to make it work.

Easy install, electrician had no issues. Still looks great after winter.

Very sturdy stand, holds my Tesla charger perfectly. No issues at all, not sure you can beat it for this price and quality! Very easy to assemble and install.

The item's packaging could be stronger-- the first one we got was damaged and lost the bottom plate in transit. We wanted to install an EV charger at home that's not mounted onto the external house walls. In the specific location that would make sense near our EV's charging port, this pedestal satisfies. The metal is sturdy and seems like it'll stand up to the elements over time. I have an issue with the finish. The screws aren't mounted flush (looks like they manufactured this without any torque rating. The worst part is that in the inside of the pedestal are what appears to be the sharp edges of these screws and the EV cable is suppose to be placed by this. Granted, the cable isn't always moving, but it just seems like a terrible idea to put a high voltage cable next to very sharp screws. Be careful when stringing the electric line in this pedestal.
