GHORTHOUD AFO Foot Drop Brace Splint Ankle Foot Orthosis Walking with Shoes or Sleeping for Stroke Hemiplegia M-Right(Comfort)

For permanent drop foot, this is about the 7th "brace" I've tried, including a prescribed carbon fiber brace, and it's the ONLY one that works to keep my toes up and to keep my ankle from wobbling. It fits easily inside a shoe, and I can leave it on and wear with a slipper at home. Don't sleep with it. I watched the video many times and couldn't figure out the first way shown. The second way to wear it is much easier and just as supportive. I am a women's size 8-1/2, but I wear a size 9 shoe so it fits into shoe. The Medium size worked. You have to play around with the velcro pieces to decide how to use them. I wear a sock under it so it does not irritate. I RECOMMEND IT!

If the design element on this looks a bit rough, you're right. I removed two of the straps and just kept the top shin strap. I slip a light weight sock over the foot part, put my foot into the device, and keep it in place with a standard athletic sock over the device and foot. The first, small sock is to put fabric between my foot and the plastic. The large sock holds the plastic foot piece in place. This prevents foot drop while sleeping or lounging, and is walkable around the house. I use it daily, but the design had to be overcome to work for me.

I found this product frustrating. It took almost an hour to figure out how it went on the first time. I had to take a pic in order to get it on after that. There are no instructions so good luck. It does the job of keeping your foot flexed very well. It will not fit inside your shoe unless you buy a bigger shoe, so I'm stuck sitting all day until I can take it off. Yesterday I did get it in my shoe, but that was after completely unlacing it, which I'm not doing every day. I wish I had known you weren't supposed to wear it all day. I wore it for eight hours and had pain around my calf. I had to put a sock between the strap and my skin, as you'll see in the picture.Bottom line, its uncomfortable, painful and doesnt come with instructions or guidelines. Do not wear all day, start small and increase time by a little bit.But it does its job excellently, so for that, it's worth it.

It's a little difficult when you only have one hand they're working well it definitely makes you lift your foot.

Was able to wear within a shoe. The plastic frame wears on my heal which makes it uncomfortable. Added two layers of moleskin which improved the situation a lot. At least I didn't have any broken skin. Have worn for an entire evening walking around and seem to be a lot better than another brace I tried. Not perfect, but the best I have found.

I’m partially paralyzed on my left side from having brain cancer. This brace got delivered today and I’ve tried it on I don’t walk with a limp anymore!!!! I’m literally so happy!! All I need is an insole so it’s more comfortable.

Was dropped off at neighbor and never got it. Had to reorder, I know because took picture. It is ok, not like if fitted at doctor. Some people have no pain when it rubs on leg, others it rubs. The price is better than $2000.00 at the doctor, they probably buy it fot $100.00, I do not know.

Bought for my mom who has sever foot drop. This gives so much support. It takes a bit to figure out how to put on but once you get used to it it's easy. Great purchase!

Works well, wearing with my boots but not sure how to cut the hard plastic near the toe so it will fit on my running shoes
