I've had a couple of LED personal flashing devices. So far this has been poor as it only funcitons for about half an hour. Many other devices can last for hours.

The media could not be loaded. This little light has quite an impressive list of features.There are several colors of LEDs packed into this unit. Red, blue, yellow, green, white, and I/R, all of which can be set on steady or flash mode. There is also a red/blue flashing mode. The white LED with 29 lumens has the lowest burn time of 12 hours on steady and 62 hours on flashing (the red/blue flashing is at 56 hours). The best battery life is achieved with the 9 lumen yellow LED at 20 hours on steady and an amazing 113 hours on flashing mode. For those that get this specifically for stealth operations and will use mostly the infrared (I/R) modes, it will last for 13 hours on steady and 75 hours on flashing.The compact size and light weight (1.02 ounces) makes it super easy to pack everywhere. Although it’s not going to illuminate a big area or shine a beam far away like a flashlight, it is sufficiently bright enough to look for your lost keys or wallet, and enough to find that darn keyhole in the dark. It is, however, visible from very far away. Due to everyone’s vision being different, and varying conditions, I cannot say at what the maximum distance it’s visible from, but I was able to see the white, green and yellow LEDs well beyond 100 yards in the dark.I hope this review was helpful. I have had this light for a couple of months now. Honestly it had mostly sat idle on a countertop as I didn't know how to operate it, and I hadn't taken the time to read through the user guide.But I finally did read that guide, and I know now how to operate this device. First I should say that it is unlikely that I will be using this for its typically intended purposes. I like gadgets, and have numerous flashlights, lanterns, etc.I don't wear a tactical helmet, so that's out for me. I don't do group training or gaming exercises, so the infrared feature is out for me. And I'm concerned about deploying flashing red/blue light sequences (which where I live are unlawful to deploy, on a vehicle at least, outside law enforcement and a handful of other, limited, government vehicles). I suspect I could use it if I were walking, but on a bicycle, motorcycle, car, truck, etc. it would be unlawful. And I can't see much legitimate need for that flashing light pattern for personal use, so I guess that's out for me.So that leaves the other solid/blinking lights (red, green, white, yellow) to deploy in various settings. If I am out and about wearing, say, a backpack, I may clip this to it and give it a try.Does it work? Yes - and frankly quite well. But while it's a nifty little gadget I don't think that it was designed for folks like myself. I'll still enjoy tinkering with it from time to time, though.

I didn't think I'd use this little light as much as I do. This is the perfect signal/beacon light for your area while night fishing. Both in the surf on the beach, and on the banks in freshwater situations, there will inevitably be a time you will want to leave your site to get something from your vehicle, use the bathroom, etc.Throwing this up on the top of a tent, pole, or tree makes the journey worry-free. Just glance over at any time and you'll be able to pick out your spot among the darkness. I mainly use the green or yellow settings as green is easy to pick out at night, and yellow lasts the longest battery-wise (40 hrs).I have only needed to charge it once since getting it, and have used it multiple nights now. The battery does indeed last quite a while, even running it all night doesn't seem to affect its functionality.Overall I think this is a bit of a niche item, but it is the best item to use for that niche. It doesn't work as well for lighting up an area as a flashlight would, and a flashlight doesn't come close to the utility of this little signal light. For the price, if you need a product that is essentially a brighter and reusable glowstick, you couldn't do much better than this.
