It actually works.🙏😁👍🏽
I’m so pleased I have finally bought something that works. In my experience of induction hob owner for ten years the pans tend to be the slightly more expensive and half of them don’t work. I land up giving them away mostly because unless phurchsed from Amazon I tend to loose receipts as it tends to be supermarkets with rest of shopping.Importantly it works never again will I be giving new pans away. The reason I’ve marked it down I’d the handle is metal and heats up as well. As mum has dementia I can’t leave it on the hob to cool down so put it in the oven to cool safely. If it had a heat resistant handle it would of got full marks but having to use heat resistant gloves etc means it’s a little awkward to move while hot.I got the bigger one to use on all size pans. I’m waiting for my new sauce pan to arrive and see if I can make a sauce without burning the pan.

A heat sink in more than name
The good news is that using an inductive plate enables pans that are not inductive to be used the bad news is the power or heat loss sustained makes it hard to get a lot of energy into some pans. Certainly power setting have to be reassessed for example on my hob 80degrees will soft boil a pan of water for pasta where as using the placate I need to use 120 degrees to maintain the similar temperature. I do like the handle which adds stability I do not think I would buy a plate without such a feature now that I have used this one. Also you have to make sure all around the kitchen know that you can jot tell when the item is hot so don’t treat the job as a safe touch item better still get into the habit of removing it from the job when used to avoid touching the hot surface by accident.

Damaged surface - not on high heat
I got 2 Diablo makers a few weeks ago that I couldn't use on induction hobs so bought this... After reading a lot of the reviews that said the 1 review with the damaged surface was because they must have used it on a high heat, I bit the bullet as it seemed the only way I'd be able to use the Diablos.I had it on temp 5 on my induction hob which I wouldn't consider high as it doesn't even keep water at a rolling boil. Had it on 5mins to heat up the plate then had the diablo on for less than 10mins and lifting the plate after for a quick check (as there was a little part of me doubting the purchase based on that 1 review) and found the exact same white and grey burn type marks all over where the plate had been as well as a crack in the glass!!!I was raging, I have actually left it a few days before writing this review as the induction hob was only a couple of months old and had been in perfect condition. I am so angry with this product, the company and myself for not trusting that little bit of doubt I had.I fully read and followed the instructions that came with it, nowhere does it say anything about not putting it on a medium temperature. I don't know what to do about this as I feel like a product put out for this sole purpose should not be doing this. Few month old £300+ induction hob!!! I have scrubbed it with every special cleaning thing I can find, the damage seems to be either under or inside the glass itself and theres obviously nothing I can do about the crack.Furious barely covers it.

Works, sort of
Having invested heavily I was reluctant to dump my previous pans and have to go and buy a hold load of others better suited to my induction hob. As an alternative we bought 3 of these heat diffuses. In summary, they work but are not as good as induction suited pans. They transfer some heat but there is quite a bit lost in the heat transfer, trying to griddle something is a bit of a challenge. In addition, they leave scorch marks on the hob which require continually cleaning. I have now demoted them to using on small pans for soups, sauces and the like and have had to invest in a couple of induction suited pans. Give the choice I wouldn't go down this route again.

but not brilliantly - I don't think the heat it omits is ...
It works to make non-induction saucepans compatible with use on induction hobs, but not brilliantly - I don't think the heat it omits is quite enough to cook things in the normal time you would. I used it to cook some vegetables and pasta sauce and took quite a long time to soften the onions and peppers, so much so that they were still a little bit al dente when I decided that would do. The sauce itself was hot and bubbling so it clearly works, perhaps it would be better for use with just boiling water?I think I will still invest in some induction pans when I'm able to.

A Slow Burner
This, and other items like it from different companies, have received mixed reviews here on Amazon, so I was a bit dubious but decided that the worse case scenario was the loss of 20 euro or so. I'm still getting used to it, but it works just perfectly - ideal for simmering and longer processes. I love my induction hob (I have two), but it doesn't do low. I find it difficult to cook rice as it boils and evaporates water far too quickly. For the first time in about a year, I cooked paella. Fantastic. I did fry everything in an induction-hob-friendly wok first, before transferring everything to the larger paella pan, and everything went swimmingly. There are all sorts of stories about these things not working, but I've no idea how or why. Simplicity itself. If only I'd thought of its existence before forking out for induction hob cookware, almost replacing my entire arsenal of gear. Buy one!

Ok
Is a good product but when things spill over it can burn on to this piece of equipment and then leaves marks on the hob...

Disc
I would not use this again. It has left Mark's on my job I cannot remove.
