I ordered a pair of these Assistive Protectors for my feet. These are easy to put on and take off with two hook/type wide straps. These straps are very strong. They stay on in bed. As cushioning and padded as I hoped. There is air access for the heels. I had abraded 2 large blisters on my heels before I got these. Not for walking around in. A bit bulky, but very comfortable, especially sleeping on my side. No pressure on the wound as blanket drapes over. They have opening at toes, and at the heel. I just got them so haven't laundered yet. Comes with laundry instructions. I recommend these for a better night's sleep.

My husband suffered a spinal cord injury which allows him to only lie on his back at night. One heel has developed a sore in an early stage. To keep it from getting worse, this protector of 3 tried is the best. It is comfortable & elevates the heel from the mattress well. The boot heel is open so it is critical to correctly position foot in the boot. Absolutely critical. He continues to make progress in healing, thankfully.

Bought this heel protection when my post surgery gray boot (broken ankle) was painfully tight but it wasn't comfortable or useful until out of the boot. Now I use it nightly to protect the scar against rubbing and accidental bumping while the ankle continues to heal.

I have planters fasciitis and arthritis. I did not exactly understand the instructions on how to fluff the boots upon unpacking so played bread dough much to one of my cats head bobbing delight. I guess they were okay. Wish the laundry bag with them had washing instructions. My first use was last night. I awoke to a very nice feeling of softness. Once I got it off I was amazed. At least for awhile there was no pain and a few hours later it’s on the low side. My Dr said surgery but I don’t think so. This boot, a bed wedge and heel inserts and I’m doing so much better, nope sorry Doc Amazon wins this round

We are on our second set of these and the only reason I am not leaving a 5 star review is because the initial set we bought broke at the stitching of the velcro buckles. I believe the price should reflect the quality and these are not as sturdy as I would have hoped and when dealing with leg contractures you need to have functional stitching to make sure the boot stays in place.
