Ignik Moon Rocks Propane Fire Pit Ceramic Stones

These are absolutely worth adding to the Ignik FireCan. The FireCan works fine without them, but the Moon Rocks make a noticeable difference. The flames look much more natural and campfire-like instead of just coming straight from the burner. They also seem to help spread the heat out a little better. What I like most is how lightweight they are. I do minimalist truck camping and overlanding, and every pound matters. Unlike traditional lava rocks, these weigh next to nothing, so there’s really no penalty for bringing them along. I just leave them in the FireCan when I pack it up. If you’re already spending the money on a FireCan, do yourself a favor and get the Moon Rocks too. They make the fire look better, feel more realistic, and add almost no weight to your gear.

If you're looking at this review, you know that the flame out of your fire can leaves a lot to be desired. These rocks 100% remedy that issue. Dump the box of these in there and you will immediately have a normal campfire looking flame. They're durable, 0 maintenance, and super light.

We bought these for our Ignik Firecan Deluxe to use during campfire mode. They really helped to retain a good amount of heat & give the Firecan more of a “campfire” feel. After a few minutes, the rocks get really hot and start to glow sort of how charcoal does or the bed of coals at the bottom of a wood campfire does. Additionally, we loved how light these are (1 lb.) so that we can take them in our RV without lugging around the 5 lb. bag of ordinary lava rocks (which we also have but plan to keep at home due to the weight). If you are buying the Firecan Deluxe and plan to use it as a campfire (in addition to the cooking function), or the original Firecan, I can’t recommend these enough. Without rocks you’re sort of just sitting around a propane burner - and although it puts out a lot of heat, it kind of misses the look and feel of a campfire. These rocks spread out the flame, heighten the fire itself, retain a good amount of heat, and enhance the aesthetic of the Firecan Deluxe while in campfire mode.

These work but as others have said, there is dust which can be annoying. They are very lightweight though and distribute the flames and heat much better than the firebox alone.

If you are buying/using a firecan, then you should get these too. Without the rocks, it’s just a burner in a metal box. These rocks improve the ambiance and help to distribute the heat a bit. I am able to keep them in the can, along with the folded hose and still close the lid for travel and storage. Good fit and finish.

I recently purchased these to go with my new fire can. I debated between the lava rocks and the ceramic rocks. I went for the ceramic just because they’re lighter. They really help distribute the flame much better. For me it’s not just about heat but about atmosphere. Wouldn’t want to use the fire can without them.

While these were pricey ceramic rocks, it was a nice upgrade to my Firecan. The fire is much warmer and it didn’t add a lot of extra weight to the system.

If you have the Ignik fire pit and you are thinking about stones, get these. They are so lightweight that you won’t notice they are in the fire pit. They hold and radiate heat very well.
