What is the distance between the 2 holes? Is there a U-bolt size that will fit the 2 holes to mount the panel on a car roof rack?

From center to center, 3 and 5/32 inches. 1/4 inch diameter holes. I don't know about the U-bolts, but some U-bolts I have would fit, they are from antenna riggings.

Very Well Made and Complete package

This is the perfect mounting kit I have had. All hardware is provided. Brackets are heavy duty and strong. The nuts provided with the bolts are serrated flange nuts, so you don't need a backing wrench to tighten. This makes the install fast. Mounting screws are provided too and the install was perfect. I have a temporary mounting for testing before relocating to the roof.

Well designed

Sturdy and easy to work with mounting solar panels to wooden frames. However, I do prefer to use longer 3" screws and 1" washers to be on the safe side, but the aluminum mounting brackets are top notch.
