Took a chance on this given the terrible reviews. My 230V Husky 5HP compressor quit and I went through the process of testing the capacitors and the motor, and I replaceed the start capacitor but she still wouldn't fire? Motor tested fine? No shorts? So this new motor was cheap enough I just took a chance. But when I installed it it also wouldn't run? Turns out the pressure control switch connection was bad. This has points on it like an old GM. Now I have a spare motor as my original, as suspected was fine. Be sure to test the pressure switch. Mine was delivering 230V but one of the contacts had fused itself and caused a no start condition. I’m going to be short here it was brand new motor run smoothly Best Buy I done on electric parts .seem to be better than factory motor great price

I replaced a bad motor on my compressor with this motor. I used the compressor 3 times for a short period of time. When I went to use it the 4th time the motor just hummed. I contacted customer support and was very displeased with the service I received. They wanted a video of the motor not starting and just humming. I took a short video with my phone and uploaded it and was told the video format was unsupported. They refused to do anything without a video. Luckily the problem was just a bad motor start capacitor. The capacitor was about $12 but I shouldn’t have had to buy one for a motor that I had for 6 weeks. Hopefully the motor is a better quality.
