Completely Useless But Fun!
Completely Useless Box. My daughter loves this box! You turn the switch on... it magically gets flipped off. Countless hours of back and forth. Nothing more. Nothing less. It is small. Won't take up much room. Uses 2 AAA batteries. The side latches are delicate. One came broken but I put it back together and its good as new. There are more pricey options that have characters, speakers, lights, and/vibration methods. But this basic box is just as useless at those.

DOA? Probably not. Finicky but works and looks nice
When I first opened this and put batteries in, I thought that I too was the unfortunate recipient of a DOA unit. But I got to thinking, this thing doesn't really turn off when the switch is toggled back by the 'finger' - it still has to retract back into the box under electronic power. In reality there are multiple switches that work in a specific logic sequence, and if they get out of sync, it won't work. So on a lark I manually re-positioned the finger and voila! - it sprung to life. It went dead again after my son (who loved it as a birthday gift) flipped the switch multiple times in succession too rapidly. Again I re-positioned the finger and it resumed working. Not the most robust mechanism ever invented, but hey. So if you get a dead one, fiddle with it a bit and it just may work. I also recommend using partially dead batteries to slow it down, otherwise it shuts itself off too quickly to maximize enjoyment.

A pointless pleasure!
This Useless Box is the most uselessly entertaining thing I’ve ever bought. It’s like a tiny, wooden troll who just loves to defy you. The moment you flip the switch, that little arm pops out and mocks your efforts. It’s absurd, pointless, and completely addictive. I bought this on a whim for my office cubicle, and let me tell you, it’s the best office investment I’ve made. Everyone stops by to give it a go, and it’s become a surprising source of office morale. It’s simple, silly fun that never gets old. If you need a break from the daily grind, or just want to add a touch of whimsy to your space, I highly recommend this utterly pointless piece of genius.

The worst nothing box on the market
I've had nothing boxes before, and usually they're a lot of fun. You press the switch and wait a few seconds: you hear a motor whirring, and then a little door slowly opens, and a hand emerges and pushes the lever back where it was: and then the door snaps shut again. Good for a laugh. But this nothing box isn't fun at all. You click the switch on and bang, a piece of plastic shoots out of the flap and shoves the switch back. You don't even have time to let go of the switch. Not funny, no joke to show your friends - a waste of time.

Fun and Addictive
Given what this thing is, it perfectly met my expectations. This was a great gift for a coworker and I can’t help flipping the switch every time I’m in his office. Build quality was solid considering that this is one of the least expensive fully assembled versions I found. Hundreds of flips in and still going strong!
