I have other dansko clogs but they’re a size up and Ive learned to adjust to them but there is NOTHING more comfortable than having the right size. I have tiny feet so there aren’t many 4.5 size available but when I find one I grab em if I can.I usually wear these everyday and usually within 3-4 years I have to get a new pair because I’ve worn out the sole. I seem to wear out the inner and heel part of the soles in all my shoes. But these do last quite a while. They are heavy and clunky but to be honest I like it that way, sorta keeps me grounded and these are the ones where the insides are slick. I have another size up danskos that have a bit of a tacky feel inside and honestly a little hard to really feel comfortable. The socks tend to stick to them and almost feel like I could get blisters from them. I prefer the slick insides -insoles? Gives my feet room to breathe as well.It is important to have the right size- makes a world of difference.

I work in a kitchen with A LOT of flour, in addition to water, cleaning agents, and anything else you can find/spill in a restaurant. 2 of my shifts are 10-12 hours. These shoes are tough enough to withstand the mess I put them through, and gently support my feet in the process. There was no breaking in, no weird period where my feet, legs or back hurt. I was able to wear them as easily as the shoes I wore in the kitchen 5 years previously. They should fit to your feet and allow for one finger in the back if fitted properly- I followed this advice from another reviewer and ordered my usual size. They fit perfectly. I would HIGHLY suggest the patent leather if you’re looking for a clog in the kitchen or a messier environment like an art studio or garden- they are SO easy to clean and mine have not cracked or chipped yet. The bluebell pattern I got is gorgeous and I get compliments on them constantly. Hands down would recommend these to anyone.

It would be helpful for Amazon to post the sizes of thr shoes as the Dansko brand lists them. That will take the guess work on trying to convert your shoe size to match Amazon, then the Dansko. I ordered this shoe for work but, now I have to return them because they are too big. The shoe looks great in person! Looking forward to wearing them.

I have worn these for over a decade. Before I chose a size I read the reviews thoroughly. I saw that some people said they run a little big and wide.I am always a size 8 in pretty much any shoe so I was hesitant to order anything else. I ended up going with the “7.5-8” size and I can confirm that they run wide. My foot just slips out of them but I think with a thicker no show sock, it will be much better. I’d say they are a hair too big and if I got a redo, I would possibly get a 7-7.5 if that size was available.So if you are always a size 8, just know they will likely be a little too big unless you have a wider foot :)

Dansko's are long lasting, great support and fun patterns. I wear between a 6 & 6.5, either a 36 or 37 (European sizes) depending how they're stapled. A proper fit is a must! After 3 years it's time for a new pair!

I hope this will help someone else: 8.5-9 = 39; 9.5-10 = 40.I know I am a 39 in Dansko Clogs, but couldn't find matching European sizes, so now have to return and re-order (at a higher price).

Have always loved this style and brand. Once upon a time, I had many, in size 37. Before I could wear them out, they got too small. So I thought I'd get a 38. Judging by my size in other shoes, I thought that would be the 8.5-9 listed. No - it is the 7.5-8. I guess that surprises me, because I wear an 8 or 8.5 depending on the style and whether I expect to wear thick socks. I figured the 7.5-8 would be way too small for anything but the thinnest of socks (if even). Nope, I ordered 2 pair, one of each size, and the 7.5-8 (aka 38) fits great even with thicker socks. The 8.5-9 (aka 39) is way too big with thin and even thick socks. The 38 gives enough room in the heel that it should not rub. Also, I have average to wide feet with a decent bunion on one foot, and these are quite roomy enough in the toe box. Happy feet = big smile!

I bought it a week ago and I`m still not 100% comfortable in them. I work on my feet all day and I was hoping that they`ll be great. They provide lots of space for your toes which is great and the fit is generally comfortable but the bottom of my feet stills hurts a bit after walking in after a 5-6 hours. They take time to break in, more than other kind of shoes. They are a bit too hard in terms of insoles. I am hoping that I will get used to them in a few weeks` time... Give it a try if you have the money.

Fairly snuff fit over top of my foot (I have a high instep). They are comfy however, fairly unforgiving in terms of give in the sole.

This is my third pair of Dansko clog , they are fab. Buy them just a little too big as they are not designed to fit perfectly
