Nice design and makes great toast

I wanted to upgrade from a 2 slice to a 4 slice toaster and couldn’t resist this for the country theme makeover I was going for. Got the kettle to match too. I always go with Russell Hobbs for kitchen electricals, they are an outstanding brand IMO. My previous Russell Hobbs toaster was ten years plus old, donated to us when we moved in, and it lasted a further eight years and was still going reasonably well when I changed to this one, so I’m hoping this will be the same!It has the occasional niggle such as the second set of toast not always toasting as much as the first, but I’ve found that to be the case with every toaster I’ve ever had to be honest. It looks amazing, it does the job, I love it.

My wife asked me to order this toaster to go with the matching kettle. It does look very fetching on the oak worktop but also, crucially, it toasts all four slices very evenly. The mechanism does feel a little flimsy and it sounds metallic and tinny when depressed, but it works and it works well so why care. After all the doors on my Defender sound not dissimilar when closed but they keep the water out - well most of the water out!
