Great Little Driver!
I'd been trying to get by with one of those small battery operated screwdrivers and it just didn't have the power to really do projects around the house and I'd find myself stripping screwheads all the time. I finally gave up, searched around, did research, and found this little gem here on Amazon. What a deal...$99 for a terrific little drill, a 20v battery, charger, AND a carrying case! This thing works like a champ, drives screws into wood fast, without stripping the heads, and is very very easy to handle and use. I can't speak to durability as yet, but so far, for around the home projects, it's proven its value!

Christmas gift
I got this for my son over 2024 Christmas. He does a lot of work on cars and detailing. This drill is durable, great power, came with a nice storage bag and accessories. He loves this drill! It’s compact enough where it’s not too heavy to hold but has excellent power. The last drill he had would not hold the charge very well. This is a great brand . I also purchased a Dewalt tool set last year and he loves that too. Great products!!

Well made, does its job with no fuss, good value
Got this on sale for <$100 which is a terrific value for a well made, reliable and useful drill. Probably the tool in the Dewalt collection that I use the most around the house.

Finally bought my very own Dewalt drill driver! No more borrowing from my son!
I kept having to borrow my son’s drill driver, which is the model right before this one.The size is smaller and more lightweight, as is the battery but the older 20v batteries still fit it.I also got it on a daily special price: Driver, charger, one battery and storage bag for $99 bucks!Great price, great tool. I’m so glad to have my own.My son offered to swap me out for his older one with two batteries! I said No Way!This was a great price and I already know how good these tools are!

Great so far
I've been using this drill every day since I got it almost 2 weeks ago, to drive 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" construction screws to frame out some walls. The batteries have been lasting a good long time considering the use they're getting.Charging is quick enough that I haven't had to stop and wait for a battery to finish charging. The drill seems to have all the power and torque I need, although I haven't tried using it for any heavy duty drilling yet.I'm hoping it'll be able to handle drilling holes with a paddle bit through a couple of 2x4s so I can run wiring without having to use an extension cord in a crawlspace anymore. That's been the one shortcoming of the Ridgid drill I've been using the past couple of years, and the biggest reason I've come back to Dewalt.I did drop this drill from a stepladder, onto a concrete floor today, and it landed hard enough to send the screwdriver bit flying out of the bit holder. But when I picked it up and put the bit back in, it worked fine and hadn't shown any damage. As far as ergonomics, most of the cordless drills I've used over the past 10 years or so have been pretty comfortable to work with. This one is no exception. The keyless chuck has been flawless so far. But I haven't used it with any small drill bits yet.I also really like the built in LED worklights. They work very well, and are located where they actually shed light on the project without being completely blocked out by your hands as you try to work, which is what always seems to happen with my old Makita.I don't care for the charger, which feels cheap and is a PITA to get the batteries in and out of compared to every other one I've ever used. And I've been using cordless drills a lot since the late 80s.The other thing I'm not crazy about is the carrying bag that comes with the kit.It seems to be sturdy enough. But I have to take the battery out of the handle to fit the drill into it. And it's still like a puzzle to get my drill bits and the drill, charger and batteries in and get the zipper to close.I'm happy that Dewalt does still include the bag with this drill kit, since some others don't give you anything at all. But this bag would not have been my first choice for this drill kit.First of all because it's hard to get everything to fit into it at all, and also because you have to take everything out of it to find anything because you can't see into it very well. Everything gets put together like a puzzle to get it in, which means it's just as much of a pain to get it out. It's also an awkward shape that doesn't allow it to fit neatly into my truck with my other drills.I much prefer the flat rectangular drill bags that allow me to arrange everything easily inside the bag and then fit into a smaller space standing on edge.In all, I'm very happy with the tool itself. And as long as the charger doesn't crap out on me, I can live with the other minor inconveniences because the drill is a pleasure to work with.

Portable drill the works great
Have used it for several years not with no problems. The batteries also fit a hedge trimmer that I constantly use in the Spring, Summer and Fall months. Would recommend this product.

A good buy…
A very good 1/2” drill along with a 20 volt 2 AH battery, a charger and a light weight tool bag. This was a good deal at the time of purchase.
