X600, X500, Motion 300.
I purchased the Motion X600 last November for the full price and was blown away by how good it sounded. 4 months later, I purchased a Motion 300 and was again blown away by how good this little speaker sounded. I was so impressed I went to purchase another Motion 300 but in green as I liked the colour and i was prepared to pay the full price of £90, but there was the Motion X500 on sale for £90 so I got this instead, ofcourse a no brainer! Especially at that price. I originally wrote a long review on the Motion x600 and these two other speakers, but... I kept changing my mind as to which was the best speaker rated from 1st to 3rd. I ended up deleting the review because I could not make my mind up. 🙃. This review was the top rated review for the x600. All 3 speakers sound fantastic! And have their own unique sound scape due to the different driver set ups. The build quality is top class, I've watched YouTube tear downs of all 3 speakers, and the build, quality, and components used are high quality, and the speakers are well made. It's surprising how soundcore can sell these at these prices? All 3 speakers are worth their full asking price, in my opinion, and are just as good as or even better than the big speaker brands out there, and for half the price. The sound quality is fantastic! The clarity is exceptional, Crystal clear vocals, highs, and mids with deep lows. The spacial, high-resolution sound is an experience when listening. The speakers sound open and much larger than their actual size and will fill a room with high-quality sound, and this is soundcores' first attempt at spacial audio! Well done! I haven't even tried the LDAC option because the sound quality already sounds high definition. Honestly, I can't listen to any of my previous speakers after listening to these soundcore speakers. I have tried... Trust me, I have a couple of large Sony bluetooth speakers, an Echo Studio, and a few others. They now sound like they have no clarity and sound muddy compared to the Soundcore speakers. I used to casually enjoy listening to my echo 4th gen speaker, but not anymore. It sounds awful compared to these soundcore series. Soundcore has done an amazing job with these speakers. The algorithms and magic they've used to create the spacial listening experience is an experience in itself. I wouldn't call it 3D where you can hear music all around you like some have stated? It's an immersive open sound rather than a directional sound like a normal Bluetooth speaker. For example, if I was blindfolded and played any of my previous Bluetooth speakers, I could point out exactly where the sound was coming from because the sound is directional. With the soundcore speakers, it would be harder to point exactly where the sound was coming from because the sound is much wider and more open and not directional if that makes sense. I now own a Motion x600, x2 Motion x500s, and a motion 300. I just love these speakers and have to give them the credit they deserve. I was lucky with the x500 as I purchased them when they were on sale for £90 & £80. The x600 is the better speaker. A wide open sound and the best spacial sound scape due to having 5 different drivers. Clearer instrument separation and more detailed. The X500 is more 'V' shaped sounding with a narrower sound scape compared to the x600 but has a higher sound scape and better vocals, in my opinion. I use the x500 most of the time. This is my go-to speaker. The Motion 300 is an amazing speaker for its size. It almost sounds as good as the others, less the power. Although it has no spacial speaker on top, it still sounds open and spacial, much larger than its actual size. Don't be fooled by its small size! The 9 band graphic equaliser in the app is great. I originally used the built-in soundcore signature equaliser but eventually created my own for a more personal listening experience. Whatever speaker you choose, you won't be disappointed. They are all 10/10 in my personal opinion and worth every penny, even at their full price. I would have liked to have seen the option of a power supply lead and also a removable battery compartment to replace the battery in the future. When the battery finally drains, will I still be able to power the speakers via the USBC lead? Just a thought. *Update* Dec 2024 I finally purchased my 2nd Motion 300 for £60 on black Friday, in green. At such a low price, the temptation was too great! I paired this to my other Motion 300 via 'TWS' True Wireless Stereo and 'Wow!' As usual with these speakers, i was blown away by the sound quality. These speakers sound fantastic on their own but pair two of the same speakers together and 'Wow!' You're on another level. 2 Motion 300s in the standing position sounded better than a single X500 or X600, in my opinion. I even paired my two X500s for the first time but preferred the sound of the two Motion 300s. Pairing the speakers is a breeze. Turn on your 1st speaker and connect to your phone as normal, then turn on your 2nd speaker. Push and hold down the Bluetooth button on your 2nd speaker for 2-3 seconds until it flashes white. Then, on your 1st speaker do the same, hold down the Bluetooth button for 2-3 seconds, and the speakers instantly connect! You will hear this. The speaker with the 'Blue' Bluetooth light is the 'Left Channel', and the speaker with the 'White' Bluetooth light is the 'Right Channel'. It's that simple. Anytime in the future, when you have 1 speaker playing and turn on the 2nd speaker, they automatically connect. If you want to unpair both speakers, just hold down the Bluetooth button on either one of the speakers for 2-3 seconds, and they disconnect from each other. If you can afford to purchase two of the same speakers, i would highly recommend especially two motion 300s 👌 but, anyone of these speakers sounds great on its own. The Bluetooth connection on these speakers, whether pairing together or a device, is flawless.

Probably the best Bluetooth speaker I own.
This is probably the best Bluetooth speaker I own, and I've bought a lot of them over the past couple of years. The music separation is absolutely amazing, you can hear every instrument with such clarity. This is achieved with soundcores Sky Driver, a full range speaker on the top of the device which projects the music up wards, as well as the two woofers and two tweeters in the front of the speaker, which deliver what Soundcore calls Spatial Sound. The trebles and mids are just mind blowing, and the decent bass is very present without drowning out everything else, it delivers 50 watts of sound which is plenty loud enough for a medium to large room. The build quality is great too, an all metal chassy with rubberised controls, and powered by usb c, you need your own charging brick, and buying a 3 metre cord is worth the extra cash. It's water resistant too, so it will withstand the rain or a severe soaking if by the pool with no problems, once it's charged up, it becomes portable and takes about 3 hrs to fully charge from 0% with a 65watt fast charging USB C brick. The battery lasts about 8 hrs with spatial surround and the bass up button in use. You'll be surprised at the sound such a small speaker makes, and with such clarity, you'll hear your music like never before. I got it on an Amazon deal, of £120 for the green model, and I'm glad I did, it sounds like I paid 4 times the amount. I've got it paired with my TV via Bluetooth, and with no lag, movies sound amazing, the only downside is I wish I'd bought 2 at the price I paid, because you can pair 2 together to make a perfect stereo pair with a left and right channel. Like I said at the start, this is probably the best Bluetooth speaker I own, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Don't buy one, buy TWO!!!
As you can probably tell from the majority of the other reviews, this speaker is exceptional value for money with insane levels of clarity for the price and seriously impressive soundstage... BUT, and it's a big but, you need, NEED two! In a stereo pair, one to each side of you, you are instantly transported to being IN the music, suddenly you can place the location of sounds around you, as good as you can with good open headphones... One is a decent speaker, two in a pair is probably the best value speakers I've ever owned. They work for music, movies, everything I need. Be prepared to play with the equaliser a bit to suit your tastes, but luckily the app has that down! Only negatives: charge is slow and they don't last as long as a lot of modern speakers, which I find annoying, but by no means a deal breaker. If you want big bass, I mean, the bass is decent but these are not for absolutely thumping bass, if you want to vibrate your chest cavity probably look at something else - but if you want to experience clarity and soundstage, these are your speakers... As a pair. One = good, two = insane 👍🙏

Easiest 5 stars I've ever given
This Bluetooth speaker is awesome, solid, well made and the sound is full clean and as stated spacial, that button should just be on ALL of the time. Really happy with the purchase. 5 stars well earned.

Almost perfect Bluetooth speaker
First of all this is a genuine review, I was slightly skeptical when this speaker came out that a lot of reviews online were paid for promotions and a lot of YouTube video reviews are testament to this. Anyway with that out the way, when I received and opened the box I was amazed at the quality of the speaker itself, great first impression. Upon listening I was blown away by the sound such a relatively small speaker can produce, it makes you realise that there’s no way they could have crammed anymore technology and hardware into the unit. I’ve tweeked the EQ to suit my personal taste through the app and for me it now doesn’t need tampering with. I bought this unit to primarily use with a vinyl player as I found the last bookshelf speakers I bought and sent back to be too bassy for the smaller area of the house I have the system in, this speaker was the better option as I can move it about to face me when sat in my chair and can dial in or out the bass as required as not to annoy the family, so it’s very versatile in that respect. Bear in mind you can only utilise the app with its EQ,volume control etc when paired directly to a device with the app installed on it eg mobile to speaker through Bluetooth, you cannot access the app when you have a vinyl player with built in Bluetooth to the speaker as the vinyl player won’t have the app installed into its interface. As you can tell with the lengthy review it’s worth your investment, it’s not the cheapest but you feel you are getting a quality well thought out device for your money.

Great Sound, Dodgy Button
I love this speaker. I wanted LDAC capability because a very large proportion of my music library is now 24 or 1 bit. My JBL Xtreme was not bad but lacked the detail and clarity I get from earbuds on the move. The x600 sound quality is far superior to the JBL and I was delighted by the three speaker effect, especially given the deal price I paid. Then I noticed on a couple of occasions that the play/pause button on the unit wasn't responding...not a huge problem since I can use those features on my phone software, but it ticked me off enough to contact Amazon (after consulting the user guide and faqs) 1to seek a replacement...which was not forthcoming! I was about to return it for a refund but changed my mind after a little research. The thing is, its a steal for under 200 sheets and seems not to have any serious competitors. LDAC makes all the difference (once I've muddled it functional) /and its such a nice little speaker it actually pained me to send it back. So, I shall suffer the dud button. According to Amazon, these are much returned items and I suspect that this may be due to Anker not being the top dogs in quality control, so to speak. Some potential buyers might want to consider this, some won't give a toss. Hey-ho. Update: mysteriously, after 3 or 4 days the stuck button suddenly began to function. Now all is well. Speaker works a treat.

Can't be beaten at this price!
Recently upgraded from the UE Megaboom 3 and was skeptical about how much better they would be. They proved me wrong! Seems Soundcore have the USP of performance outdoing the price point. They deserve success for this. Pros: The connection and stereo pairing is massively more reliable than the Megabooms! Having the additional control buttons is really helpful. The sound absolutely smashes them too. The bass response, volume, atmosphere these give really does impress for £150 each (early bird offer). Sound better than speakers twice that price! Buy two and the image you can create is fantastic, somehow can create a soundstage even out in the garden. The build quality also as seen in the teardown video is really impressive, they are incredibly solid and pretty heavy. The metal finish and cover design looks and feels great. The handle might take up space but it really solid and useful. The APP is handy and makes altering settings easy. Much better than the unreliable Boom app. Cons: Battery life could be better for their size, if you look at the teardown video, it's a small pack! They don't sound their best out of the box, turn on the bass and spatial feature then set a custom EQ to a U shape and they perform amazingly. Makes you wonder why even give a worse sounding option that nobody is going to use apart from to save battery life... Not rugged but they are more premium feeling instead. Don't tend to throw my speakers around anyway but they are waterproof.

10/10
Premium-built quality. Excellent sound profile. The bass is very impressive and strong. Highly recommend, especially when on sale. The battery lasts for at least 2-3 days on regular use. Charging is quick.

Very good sounding speaker
Maybe it's just me but I think there is too much hype over this x600. Oh it sounds amazing for it's size and the app is one of the best I've worked with. Build quality is superb. With spatial audio off it's just another boombox and an overpriced one at that. I've heard better for less Tribit makes excellent products. Spatial makes it beats all others. Not a gimmick...it actually creates a room filling hifi sound. Play hi res audio thru it and it's mind blowing. This can get real loud and I mean loud. Better than the Bose i've owned in all regards. The app allows custom audio settings so even the most fussiest people will find the sound they like. Instant bluetooth connect. Seriously this is a game changer in small BT speakers. The bass boost can be a little too much on certain music so I found myself keeping it off in the house in smaller rooms. Outside probably fine. The retail packaging alone is premium. You'd think it was a $1000 the way they packed it. Anker is good in that way. Make sure you charge to 100% before using it when it arrives. It took 3hrs for mine so it must come with a 50% charge. That is the one negative. Slow charge only. 5v 3amps is a joke. Fast charge is the new norm. I doubt 12hrs runtime is accurate unless you just leave it on with nothing connected to it. After a few hrs I decided to charge it and it took around 2hrs and I wasn't driving it hard. Of course there is no way of knowing the exact % of battery drain which is another negative. Even the app doesn't offer that info. Would have been nice to have a 100% to 0% gauge. Maybe next model will offer more features and better battery life. Slow charging is still ok planning use around that. I bought a padded case for it off of amazon. Got a refund and kept it because it was nothing like the ad stated. It's ok for storing it in to avoid dust etc but as far as other protection it offered minimal. Thin and cheap. So be careful which one you order. $29 is a joke dollarstore quality so was going to return it but told keep it and refunded. It's worth free. LOL Maybe there will be far better hardshell ones available or buy a case with removable foam inserts to custom fit it. Its worth protecting. 2 of these paired together would be amazing if you want mind blowing stereo. I might even invest in another if they go on sale again. It comes down do I recommend it. Oh yeah...no questions...it's that good. Don't expect too much from it and its great. They can only get so much from such a small speaker but it is stunning what Anker has done.

A damn good Bluetooth speaker!
In its price range, and quite far above it, this has to be the best sounding BT speaker. Sure, there are speakers that will hit you with more bass, but not better bass. It is natural and well defined and does not overpower the rest of the frequency range. Mids and highs are also well balanced with a natural timbre and in no way 'in your face'. I have Spatial Audio and Bass Up enabled all the time and use the Soundcore app's EQ for fine-tuning. LDAC support is another feature contributing to sound quality. Build quality is very good. The aluminum grille and handle, combined with a solid weight, add to the premium feel. Portability is good enough for indoor and restrained garden use. I would not drag it of to the beach, despite the IPX7 rating. As you can see, I really don't have anything negative to say about this speaker. Just get one if it's a BT speaker you want and if good sound is a priority.
