This set is great. The sand is flowy but doesn't stick to my hands. The castle pieces make really nice shapes out of the sand. I was surprised that the flowy sand packed tight enough to make shapes hold. Castle pieces and sand fit perfectly in the box, but with no extra room. The box is cute, and I think kids will enjoy the creative options it gives. I bought this for sandtray therapy, so I kind of wish the box had a flat bottom. I learned the hard way with another set of kinetic sand -- don't get it wet. I washed my hands and used a 3 lb bag from Michaels, and now it is kind of sticky and warm. It still works, but it is not as nice as this. I could be wrong about what happened. Hopefully other people will share if they have similar issues. I also bought the 5.5 lb box here on Amazon. This has a courser feel, and slightly moister. My first impression is that the two would not mix well. That is my only issue. I would like to have more than 2.5 lbs of sand to work with. If I do find more sand, it won't fit into the box. If the 3.25 lb bag from Amazon is similar to the 3 lb bag from Michaels, then that is probably the best bet for mixing. The 5.5 lb sand review redirects me here. So I'll say more about that. It's a lighter color and very fine. It still sticks to itself and not to my hands. It feels really good. It's a drier, smoother feel. I tried it with the sandcastle pieces, and it does hold its shape there. This sand is a lighter beige, while the sand castle kit sand is a darker, courser brown. This sand is great for sandtray therapy. The sandtray figures don't get dirty. The sand comes off easily. The sand is mesmerizing. It feels good to play with.

I bought this top quality Kinetic sand in Natural Brown because that's what the kids play with. I've bought it before. When it arrived and I went to put it away, I found three more. I forgot that I had them. My cabinets are too full, so I had to return it for now. My grandchildren have so much fun with kinetic sand. It's fun to fill molds and build castles. We have molds that were included in our first kit we ever bought, so we now only buy sand. The color, by the way, looks like wet sand but it sticks together better and has an elasticity characteristic. We will buy more for sure. Fun activity that lasts to be played with over and over. Great value for the cost.

How did I not know about kinetic sand until now? We were gifted a box, loved it so much that we bought one ourselves. My son (3 yrs old) loves it! It’s perfect for those hot or cold days where you don’t want to go outside but still want to play! It does get everywhere so we lay a flat bed sheet down before we play and it helps keep it all together and off my floors! It also doesn’t dry out either so that’s a win. This would be the perfect gift with some construction vehicles!! Definitely will be buying more!

What’s not to love about kinetic sand! I bought this for my kids ages 5-11 for Christmas to replace our old kinetic sand that I threw out a year ago. I dumped it in a large shallow Rubbermaid container in our kitchen and the kids love playing with it! Neighbor kids and cousins do as well! It’s a huge hit and keeps them occupied for long periods of time. It’s also super easy to clean up. Larger pieces can easily be picked up and smaller pieces can be swept or vacuous.

Quality, durable sensory sand, color matches real sand. Highly recommend to use with drop cloth to prevent items for floor spillage mixing in. Value for money would and will purchase again

Our grandson is 3 and he loves to play in the sand. We bought a tub with a cover to put the sand in it. Plays with his Matchbox cars in the sad.

It said this for a 5 year old but my 2yo loves to play with it! Of course with supervision making sure he doesn’t eat it. It’s very interesting because there’s no mess at all! You also will get the lid to cover and store everything! Makes it easy to store the toy without a mess! Also it’s not drying at all and can be used over and over again! Good for sensory play!

Definitely need to buy at least 2 boxes for a sandbox in a rubbermaid bucket. It is great and easily cleans up. It is like a brick at first but once the air hits it, softens really well.

My little one loves this Kinetic Sand Castle Playset. I love the idea of the box because it keeps all the sand in the box. The moulds and tools are made of durable plastic, and they will last a long time. The sand never dries out, and it's so satisfying to play with. I always play with my toddler and I really enjoy it. The sand sticks together, so it's quite easy to clean up any mess if it drops out of the box. The playset is easy to store and perfect to take on the go. I find the kinetic sand better than the Play-Doh, it is less messy and retains its condition well.

Vraiment chouette car on peut y jouer même à la maison. Surveiller qd mm les petits pour qu’ils n’en mettent pas à la bouche ;) je stocke le sable dans une boîte en plastique bien hermétique depuis plusieurs mois et le sable est tjs intact !
