This book stand is well made, a good size, has solid metal fixtures, adjusts just by pulling (with some force) rather than with tools, rotates and adjusts in every way you might want, and has arms to hold the book or pages solidly and without breaking. The bed is plastic laminate, which is fine. The main thing I wanted is a well functioning item, which this is, with the key operative parts made of metal and well designed and affording lots of options. Overall a very good book stand.

I love the rock solid hardware on this stand for positioning height and tilt. It also has steely strong holders that grip the pages. It has a wonderful front ledge that some brands don't have. I love the fact that it turns a full 360° on its base. I love the fact that when it's folded as flat as possible it's thin enough to tuck onto a bookshelf and hardly take any space. Finally, this product is beautiful to look at as you'll see in the pictures. It is a joy to see it sitting on my table. It cost just a few dollars more than the ugly one I got rid of that had no ledge, no rotation and useless arms with no grip. The other one felt cheap and plasticky. This one is a beautiful, solidly built machine that I'm glad I bought.

Excellent book holder for wide textbooks, but it struggles with thicker books. The item could have some extra weight in the base, but it seems to be sufficient. It holds my Calculus I book well, and it does an acceptable job holding my C++ book, which is what I originally bought this item for. The product offers good readability and folds down flat if I want to stash it somewhere. I will probably use this book holder in place of my DIY holder (pending modifications), since it has a smaller footprint, and I only need one book open right now. The aesthetic and build quality are also very good.I would like to see some spacers and longer screws to help accommodate thicker books. The stiffness of the hinges is extremely satisfying because they will stay put with heavier books, but I'm wary of snapping the aluminum framework because of the force required to adjust them. The swivel could be sealed up to keep grime out of it, but this is a minor thing.Overall, It's a good book holder for the price.

The quality of this thing is so insanely good I cannot help myself but write a review about it. It’s solid with good weight and just has this really slick pro feel about it. And you can adjust the tension of how tight the joints are as well as the swivel, with a provided Alan wrench. It looks great and it is great. I bought this to hold sheet music so that I didn’t need to use a music stand in my small room. I can just sit this on a desk and put my music on it. Works great. I’m actually ordering another model from this company now for use with a drawing tablet, as the little arms to hold the pages are great for book pages but get in the way for other things in my opinion.

This is perfect! The device is sturdy with enough weight to counterbalance a heavy book. There is also a good amount of tension in the swivel base to get just the right angle without slipping. The arms hold the pages nicely and can be repositioned to avoid covering up important subject matter. I am using it to hold books open while I follow instructions for drawing. The book I am currently using is hardcover and has 175 pages. The arms hold it perfectly. Such a fabulous stand!!
