We live in the desert SW, moved to a different neighborhood, and have noticed some critters around the outside of our home. I have some older UV flashlights that use 3xAAA batteries. I was recently there were scorpions in the neighborhood, which wasn't a big surprise. So on a recent night I took the old UV flashlight outside and the scorpions glow remarkably, but the flashlight wasn't very bright, and I figured I didn't see lot of them even though they're there. So I bought a set of two of these 365nM lights, not expecting them to be much better. The old ones are probably closer to 400nM wavelength (they look more purple, whereas these look more sky blue when pointed at something white that does not fluoresce). WOW! We have lots of scorpions (the tiny, very deadly ones) in our backyard. These are MUCH brighter, and they fluoresce cotton and paper and other material much more than the old lights do. I wasn't just impressed, but amazed! They took a long time to charge (about 3-4 hours) when I first plugged them in to a 65W charger that supports QC, PD and a bunch of fast-charging protocols. They get a somewhat warm when left on for 5 minutes straight. But that just means that the LED is powerful.

Used this flash light for fluorescing rocks. The light was bright and worked as well as the flashlights I encountered at the gem and mineral shows, for a fraction of the price. The focusing ability worked great. It lasted quite a while for my usage and recharged quickly.

I have two other types of blacklights that I was using to detect urine from our new dog - I thought I could see everything since some stains showed up, but I could smell that there was more somewhere.This flashlight is amazing. It shows everything. And it comes with two lights! I would give it another star if I could.

The media could not be loaded.  The UV wavelength difference is very noticeable. You can’t even tell in the video nearly as well, but in person it’s dramatically brighter and easier to identify those spots. First photo shows with a 51 LED 385-400nm “party” blacklight, second photo shows with the 365nm flashlight. Definitely better for my use case!

Two pack of flashlights with only one working. One of the batteries will not take a charge and since the batteries locally cost more than the flashlights this is a complete deal killer.Low quality control apparently.

Pretty good set of 365nm UV flashlights!This is a set of 2 UV flashlights in the 365nm wavelength. The 365nm wavelength is largely invisible to the human eye, but does work well with revealing UV reactive objects.I'm a bit disappointed with the power of them, they work well in the dark; however, they do not seem to illuminate objects at any substantial distance. With other lights on, it makes it even more difficult to see them illuminate UV reactive objects. I have also noticed, they do not work very well with pet urine stains. It does show them, but it is very faint, even in the dark. I was expecting them to work much more effectively in that area. Nevertheless, they do work well at illuminating most everything else quite brightly.The flashlights themselves appear to be pretty well constructed and seem to be made out of aluminum. Each one comes with one 3400mah 18650 battery and a charging cable.I would definitely recommend this set of UV flashlights. They work well, can be used for a large amount of things and are just down right fun to experiment with to see what kinds of things glow under UV light!

I actually purchased two sets of these because they looked different. One was blue and said 365nm. The other set was purple and said 395nm. But I can't tell the difference between them so wish I had not ordered both sets since I now have 4 of these flashlights that are all the same as far as I am able to tell. The provided info and details for them both are exactly the same, and I tried them both in a variety of ways and was unable to find any differences. Both provide the blacklight effect that turns white to glowing bright bluish light, as well as some other colors that react to it. Both detect the security strip in paper money, making it glow. But I could not see much benefit in finding biological material, since only the spots I can see with my own eyes, without the light, showed up in the blacklight. It did not make anything glow that I was unable to see without it. FUN to use for the blacklight effect on whites, and seeing the glowing stripe in money, but otherwise they provide minimal usefulness.

if you are looking for a UV light, these are pretty nice. i like the form factor and the fact that they are usb rechargeable. the zoom is nice as well. my wife uses one for checking for counterfeit bills.
