Age Of Mythology

My son and I have played all of the iterations of Age of Empire. Age of Mythology uses a very similar game play experience as AOE 3. I have to admit, though, using the cheats makes this a real blast. Without the cheats, the computer just gets too many god powers going to let your team get strong enough to compete well (but that's the challenge, right?) I use the game on an older Windows XP with no trouble. The graphics and sound are excellent. The game features some really cool "X" factors that take this to a whole new level above the AOE games.

If you have played through all the AOE series and are waiting for the next installment (Don't hold your breath I continue to read) this Mythological spin will be a fun experience for you in the meantime. Since it has been out for sometime you can get it at a great price too!

I hadn't heard much about this game growing up so when I saw it, it looked interesting and I decided to try it. I fell in love with the game very quickly. easy to pick up on, but still a challenge the deeper into it you get. the campaign is kind of long but it introduces you to all the cultures so I guess its not too bad. I would recommend this game to anyone, especially those who enjoy mythology

Strategy games are my absolute favorite, but I am also quite picky when it comes to these kinds of games. Often I either love them or I hate them.I love this one.I love ancient warfare, I love fantasy, and this game combines them both marvelously. A great game!One word of caution, do not get the expansion and if you do don't activate it. The addition of the Titans ruins the balance of this great game.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid and I loved playing it again. Very fun if you enjoy Greek, Egyptian, or Norse mythology or if you are interested in war games with some world building. Age of Mythology has a great campaign to play with awesome characters to connect to also the options for single player and multiplayer action.

Will not work on Windows 10 (Installs but will not load the game) Comparability does not work to fix the problem.UPDATE:Installed the game on my old computer I gave the kids (running Windows 7) It installed properly using XP compatibility mode but will still not run! Problem? It tells me my high end graphics card is not supported. It obviously is looking for an older style card from the late nineteen hundreds. It states that my card is ... "not on their list of supported cards." Well dang it, I refuse to install an antique video card just to run this stupid game! Goodwill will be happy to receive it!

I use to play this years ago and loved the game, but it wore out in time. Decided to buy it again. Unfortunately it won't run on any of the new operating systems. I have Windows 8. It was a no go. Waste of money if it doesn't play!!!

This game has an excellent concept and game play, challenging AI, they could make a successful sequel with more advanced graphics.
