have the originals in my home but these knock offs are totally great for staging! blank paper inside make me want to use it as a notebook :)

These blank books were produced for decoration, but how are they as blank books?They're pretty darn good!When I get a new journal, I use a page near the end of the book as a "pen test" page, so I can try out various pens before using them for writing or drawing.In my photo, you can see that only the Sharpie marker bled through. This was a surprise; the paper feels like heavy newsprint, with a lot of "tooth." I expected a lot more bleed. Fountain pen, gel pens, highlighters -- all worked fine in this book. Watercolor caused the expected rippling, but the color didn't soak through.By my count, there are 112 unlined sheets per book (224 pages). The page signatures are sewn in (rather than glued), so it's not going to crack easily. The bindings are good and should hold up well. If used for scrapbooking, one will probably want to slice out the occasional blank page so the book doesn't get too fat and lose its nice contours (unless that's what you want). The only concern I have about it as a journal is that I can't tell how acidic the paper is or if it will deteriorate over time, and it's not a satiny smooth surface for handwriting. But it's a pretty good paper for mixed media.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of these "showcase" books as functional journals. The company has several different designs for their sets of 3 books, and this was the series I liked the best.

These are nice, heavy duty, blank books. They look like the expensive versions you can purchase, but they papers inside are totally blank. I misread the listing, and actually thought these were just empty boxes with storage inside, but they're not - they're actual heavy duty blank books with beautiful covers. They look realy nice styled on a shelf. Nice size as well. It says they're XL size, but they appear pretty standard to me.

Used these to add some decoration to our AirBnB without having to buy actual books. Using the blank pages to allow guests to write in their thoughts about their stay.
