Three Sisters Apothecary Daily Solid 4.75 oz. Shampoo Bars (Lavender and Tea Tree)

I have struggled with finding the right shampoo and conditioner for my hair for years! I finally found it. I love, love, love this product.Around the time I turned 30 my hair changed. It went from stick straight and somewhat shiny and thick to thinner, dryer, and wavy.Don't get me wrong, I love my new wavy hair, I get to have the beachy look without doing anything with it. However, finding a shampoo and conditioner that works for it has been a years-long battle. The mainstream products leave my roots suuuuuper oily by the very next morning and are full of perfumes, which I am allergic to. A lot of the natural brands don't use perfumes, but they leave my hair too dry, which makes it go from beachy waves to dry and frizzy.I was gifted the Lavender and Tea Tree soap bar from Three Sisters Apothecary a few years ago as part of a Christmas present. I had never used a shampoo bar before and didn't know what to think of it so I just kinda tucked it away as an emergency backup or to maybe use sometime when traveling.Well, the day came when I ran out of shampoo and had not bought a new one. I remembered I had this bar tucked away so I pulled it out and used it and holey cow, I loved it! Or more specifically, my hair loved it. No more crispy hair or super oily hair the next day, in fact, for the first time in my life I only needed to wash my hair every other day. Extra bonus!It has a nice pleasant scent from essential oils and a light lather. I like to use it by getting my hair wet and rubbing it directly onto the roots of my hair until a good amount of it is on, then I rub it in for a few minutes, being sure to massage it directly into my scalp. I find I do not need to use much on the longer part of my hair very often. Just the process of rinsing it out seems to get just enough running through the rest of my hair to clean it without drying it out.I live in Hawaii and none of the stores around me sell Three Sisters Apothecary products (that I know of), so I was having my mom ship me bars and loading up on them when I went to visit her. Imagine how excited I was to find them on Amazon! I don't know why it took me so long to check. Derp.Anyway, there is a shipping charge to order their products, but it's not much and I make sure load up a few month's worth when I order so it works out. As a bonus, they always package their products very thoughtfully in pretty tissue paper and include a free sample of one of their related products, plus a sticker. How awesome! BTW, the rest of their products are great too!

This is the best brand of bar shampoo I've found so far...and I've tried a lot of them. I do feel you need to pair with the conditioner though. I thought the smell was a bit strong, but it hasn't turned out to be a problem.

This shampoo bar smells lovely and seems to clean well. It also helps with tangly hair to make it easier to brush. I also bought the matching conditioner bar but use it only when using a different shampoo because it almost conditions my hair too much if using along with this shampoo bar. Will purchase this shampoo bar again if available!
