Bulk Buy: Red Heart Super Saver (2-Pack) (Soft White, 7 oz Each Skein)

Do not order the baby pink! As you can see in the picture, (and another persons review) it is not what they advertise. It is fuzzy 3.5 oz/12 yds and a different brand. The other colors I ordered are great.Note to Seller: If you are advertising a product, that is what you need to sell!

The yarn itself is fine. The issue is the cost for the amount of yarn you get. My order came with one full ball of yarn, and the other was.... smaller. Like the plastic wrapper was very loose around it, like when you use up a fair portion of the yarn and then stick the wrapper back over it. Also, the yarn (I am using it to crochet) does not need a 5.5 mm crochet hook like the packaging says. It needs much smaller than that! Do not buy if you are looking for a yarn that is actually needing a 5.5 mm hook. (I bought this yarn because I didn't buy enough of my first yarn to start my project with, and my first yarn packaging also recommended a 5.5 mm hook but I probably could have used 5 mm. This yarn, while a pretty color, requires wayyy smaller hook)

I did not look at the weight on the skeins and therefore did not order enough yarn for my project. I expected each skein to be as big as a super saver skein I had ordered before. I realize this is my fault, but I am writing this as a warning. I tried to order more, but this color is not longer available. As far as the yarn itself, I like working with Red Heart yarn after getting past the first few feet that sometimes are split.

I’m a long time crocheter. I knew going in that Red Heart Super Saver yarn is kind of scratchy. I looked for many other brands and couldn’t find that perfect Grinch shade of green. My bff’s kids love the grinch and Minecraft. She asked me to crochet a grinch hat for her son for his birthday. Overall good price and value of the yarn. Love that it’s budget friendly yarn and her son moved the hat. I also feel it’s pretty easy to crochet with. The yarn was not getting snagged at all. Just wish it was a little softer like Caron one pound yarn.Next up I’ll be making a Minecraft scarf and a Buttercup (from Powerpuff Girls) plaid headband with this yarn.

I am very upset with this yarn. I have bought and re bought this brand but when I washed the garment, the fringe frayed! It’s a gift. I had to add new fringe (I haven’t much hope it’ll remain that way), but I’m disappointed.

The only disappointment I had when I ordered this two pack was that they had sold out of the Jumbo Super Saver. I use this color a lot so I buy the Jumbo Super Saver when I can get it, even so this is also a value for the money. I used a lot of cherry red in my grandson's Christmas blanket.

I love Red heart yarn. If you think it is too scratchy then rinse the finished garment as delicate and make sure you use fabric softener in the rinse cycle and dry is the drier under delicate and it will so fluffy. I have used Red heart since my grandmother taught me to crochet. More than a 100 blankets finished. I have found nothing better for the value.

Great value for the money and color was spot on! I under bought for a project and couldn’t find additional yarn locally to match. Now I have everything I need right to my doorstep. Yay!!
