Both books boxes are high quality, the spines and covers have a lot of dimension and texture interest, the brown cover is glossy with lots of color variation giving an overall richness. They feel like nice expensive books, the covers have a glossy leather feel. The overall look is rich but understated and will blend in to the bookshelf or background if that is the goal. I would consider these book "themed" boxes, and they blend in nicely to my sleeves. I appreciate that the don't have distracting fake titles -- just handsome well crafted fancy book boxes -- sturdy, nice magnet closure, great for slipping away. High recommend if you're looking for a handsome book box. Even if you're not trying to "fool" anyone with these, they are very handsome and handy book boxes to keep on hand for items that you wish to keep out of the way but readily accessible.

These are really nice on the outside. The design is raised and pretty too. Good storage on the insides.

The media could not be loaded. I installed a hidden bookcase door a while back, and got a latch that opens with a cable pull. I bought this to rig up a tilting book to unlatch the door. Drilled a hole in it and fed the cable through a washer and through the hole, then through a hole in the door to the latch mechanism. It works beautifully for this, and the phony book looks genuinely very good, like an old, worn book.

Product is well made and is a good value for the price. The two box package is a good value. Size of boxes is good for multiple uses. Can look like a book in a bookcase or just a table top book on a shelf. Has a strong magnetic clasp.

These look great! I bought them because I wanted something cool to store and roll dice in for tabletop games, and these books kind of look like they could be ancient spell books. They have been perfect for my needs. When not in use, they look great sitting on my coffee table as a bit of decoration. They also look great on a shelf.The outside faux leather has a satisfying surprisingly leathery feel. The pattern isn’t just printed on. It has grooves. The spines have ridges from what might be binding on a real book. For size reference, I find larger box can comfortably fit folded copy paper inside, but not the smaller one.For my purposes, to cushion the roll of metal dice and not ding the interior wood, I placed a piece of cheap black crafting foam in the bottom of the compartment. For extra fanciness, I bet they would look nice lined with some sort of velvety adhesive lining placed along all of the interior surfaces.If your goal is to hide stuff, I’m not sure how inconspicuous two antique leather-bound books would be in a modern living space. It depends on your decor. Book boxes aren’t a new secret concept. However, as cool decorative storage options or starting points for DIY projects, these are awesome. Would recommend.

These "books" are really cool! Magnets keep them closed so they won't accidentally ease open, and they look and feel like authentic novels amongst an array of books of all appearances. I do have a bunch of older books, so these fit right in next to those without looking at all out of place. The space inside is pretty decent if you want to store some cash, paperwork or some thin trinkets. The space is almost as long, wide and thick as the book itself, so it's better than a few other similar products that I've seen.Overall great quality for the price!

Smaller than what I expected but cute

Love using the smaller book to hide our TV remote from the dog! Good looking set.
