"You can be a King or a Street Sweeper but everybody dances with the Grim Reaper".Robert Alton Harris, Serial Killer.
This book is connected it introduces us to Tim Reaper.A brilliant paranormal P.I.Urban Fantasy even though our main character Tim Reaper will tell you he is not a private investigator. He does jobs for money so that he can survive. He is a grim reaper who has been banished to grasp at life with the living. He screwed up really bad by helping to release that big flu epidemic years ago that wiped out a good chunk of humanity. In the mean time he is haunted by the other reapers who curse and scream at him anytime he gets near which happens often as he goes after serial killers who prey on women and they wait in the shadows to reap the soul . He just cannot stand these creeps who prey on the weaker sex and he makes it his business to wipe them off the face of the earth in his town at least. He can also tell you when and how you will exactly die which keeps him from really being close to anyone. That is until there is news that someone is murdering and mutilating demons and angels. The big wigs at the church bring him in on this apocalyptic movement to find out what is doing this and what it all means for the future of humanity. This was so good it was like watching a million dollar movie. Sean Cummings can write and I was thrilled to find out there will be a sequel to Tim Reapers Immortal Remains. So read it you will be thoroughly pleased.

Fabulous supernatural whodunnit
First off, this is an urban fantasy, no sex-at least not enough to really comment on, lots of violence – some of it graphic and hopefully, it will be a series. The ending wasn’t a cliffhanger, but it also wasn’t as grandly happy as a HEA. Don’t let that stop you from reading. I, in all my nervousness, weathered the ending just fine. No worries. This was not a regularly scheduled review. It popped up on my radar when I was nonchalantly surfing on the Internet. I resisted. Really. I did. I have to stay with my schedule. I studied the cover and the cover was so intensely attractive that it caused me to hesitate from clicking away from the book. I have to stay with my schedule. I read the description. I was hooked. Did I mention the cover? Whoa. This is a spin on urban fantasy that is new to me. Tim Reaper is not human, never was and will never be. He was tossed out on his ass from his order for causing the 1918 Spanish Influenza epidemic. It’s a lesson that just one choice has an immense ripple effect on more than just one life.Instead of just drifting off into the wind or whatever death spirits do when they are cast out, he decided to take matters to his own hands and become a vigilante. A supernatural vigilante against murderers, child molesters and whatever bad thing humans can think of. If that premise doesn’t grab you, I don’t know what will. The world is well built and the mystery intriguing. The whodunnit isn’t one of those that are easy to decipher and Tim isn’t a super sleuth that can figure the solution like Sherlock Holmes. He struggles. Tim, in his bid to help humankind, finds out that it doesn’t matter that he is a death spirit. His choices and actions always have residual effect and in the end he has to make tough decisions. Tim does have one thing going for him. He has Detective Sergeant Carol Sparks for help. She is tough, smart and kick ass. Oh, did I mention that the mystery is so dire that the Vatican asked for Tim’s help? Yep, even though they know what he did and what he is, they still need him to solve a serial killing rampage… against angels and demons. What? You heard right. Fantastic, right?I really loved this book and I am looking forward to the next. The characters were easy to like and Tim’s stab at a human’s life is a lot more complicated than you’d think. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

There were many things about Immortal Remains that I enjoyed.
There were many things about Immortal Remains that I enjoyed. Tim Reaper, the main character and the POV you get, was a delight. I laughed out loud at least once in every single chapter. Whether it be because of his witty comments to others or the conversation he has with the reader. I assure you, if you have any sarcastic humor, you will find many quotes within the pages of Immortal Remains. And while Tim Reaper stands out the most, he's not the only enjoyable character in the novel. The story was interesting, but not unique. I believe it's self-published, so there are a few grammar issues littered throughout, but honestly the only reason you find them is because you become engrossed in the novel. Also, there were a few things that didn't add up; Amy comes out of nowhere making it hard to believe the connection between her and Tim. The sniper wasn't very good at his job even though he's a professional.Overall, it's a fun read.I received this book via the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.

Death takes a holiday
When I read a new novel, my hope.. My wish .. is time find a strong main character, male or female, that will own the story, own their memories... and draw me into the story... and hold onto me even after the last page is read...this story definitely meets my criteria ... grab your chair arms.. you are in for a bell of a read...from the main male character..Tim Reaper who is drawn to humanity both curious and repelled, who at first wants what he once had... and finds that love will break your heart.. to the female characters , Carol Spark who appears to be a hard boiled detective but covers her humanity for those but who she is close to..to sad sweet Amy.. the love of Tim Reaper can't save her but her sacrifice and love saves the world... well written book that my review doesn't do justice... read it.. and you won't regret it..

Did not disappoint!
Have been waiting for the first Tim Reaper book since character was introduced in Funeral Pallor! Was very intrigued by his character.Immortal Remains did not disappoint. Story concept/plot line was interesting! I found, for me, that I could not put it down. Would like to see Tim get a bit more grittier, gruffer, sinister, evil maybe(?).There are some words missing in sentences, and a few spelling mistakes, but still able to follow story.Looking forward to Girl on Victoria road.
